California became the first state this weekend to mandate that large department stores with over 500 employees must display toys and other things such as hygiene products, in a way that is considered “gender-neutral.”
This is seen as a victory for the LGTBQIA+ community who believe that the traditional blue and pink colors at the stores push ‘gender stereotypes,’ reports the Associated Press.
The WinePress reported on this legislature when it was first proposed in late-February of this year. It has now become official law on the books in California.
According to this new law signed by Governor Gavin Newsom, department stores do not need to get rid of the normal boys and girls sections, but designate “a reasonable selection” of items “regardless of whether they have been traditionally marketed for either girls or for boys.”
This law does not affect clothing, but only toys, and “childcare” and hygiene items.
Assemblyman Evan Low said he was “incredibly grateful” to Newsom for passing this legislature – one that has failed to pass twice already in 2019 and 2020.
We need to stop stigmatizing what’s acceptable for certain genders and just let kids be kids. My hope is this bill encourages more businesses across California and the U.S. to avoid reinforcing harmful and outdated stereotypes.

Even though California is the first state to impose such a law, department store giant Target (1,915 stores in the U.S.) said in 2015 they would stop using some gender-based advertising in their stores. They still, however, use the normal boys and girls sectioning.

Californication continues to descend into even more abominable wickedness. I can assure you, the Lord is not going to put up with this much longer.

Another good passage covering some of this nonsense is 1 Corinthians 11:3-16. I cover some of that passage in my book “The Lord of Glory.” But this world will continue to get more and more wicked. Exceedingly wicked sinners like these Californians who want this bill passed will probably get their way.
The distinct marketing in the toy aisle is an argument I have used to prove the extremely obvious gender differences, but also how God made man and woman and their “hardwired” roles and interests.
Beyond the very obvious blues and dark tones versus the pinks and purples separating the toys, just look at what toys you see. The toy industry is a very ruthless market, and toy companies know precisely what boys and girls play with. Note: I am not endorsing these toys but to make a point. The girl aisle has Barbie, other dolls, pretend cooking sets, fake cleaning tools, jewelry makers, and pretend babies so the girl can pretend and practice maternity…
The boys get Hotwheels, Nerf guns, action figures (Star Wars, G.I. Joe, Avengers), building and construction tools, the majority of Lego, erector sets, remote control cars and drones, and Pokémon.
Notice how the girl toys are all associated with fulfilling the role of a woman, the way the Lord designed them to be, and the boys are playing with things that naturally require motor skills and technical thinking – things that involve building, things that involve the boy being a fighter and defender of others.

When Lego created the girls division, the pieces and sets are more pastel-colored, bigger, and require less construction. This does NOT mean that girls are stupid, I am just pointing out the obvious, and that it shows boys are “hardwired” to want to build and use deeper thought when it comes to that particular thing.
That is science, not misogyny.
