And then after that, Aquaman will be so progressive he’ll put a whole new meaning on the term “Gender Fluid.”

DC Comics is now presenting the famed Superman as a bisexual. More specifically, Clark Kent – the original Superman – has now “retired” and passed the mantle of the Man of Steel to his son Jon, in the DC universe.

The new and younger Superman, similarly to his dad, falls in love with a reporter, only this time the reporter is another young man, Jay Nakamura.

The series, “Superman: Son of Kal-El,” does not take place in an alternate universe: this is part of the mainstream DC community and is official canon, reports Entertainment.

I’ve always said everyone needs heroes and everyone deserves to see themselves in their heroes and I’m very grateful DC and Warner Bros. share this idea. Superman’s symbol has always stood for hope, for truth and for justice. Today, that symbol represents something more. Today, more people can see themselves in the most powerful superhero in comics.

We talk a lot about the power of the DC Multiverse in our storytelling and this is another incredible example. We can have Jon Kent exploring his identity in the comics as well as Jon Kent learning the secrets of his family on TV on Superman & Lois. They coexist in their own worlds and times, and our fans get to enjoy both simultaneously.

DC Publisher Jim Lee said in a statement

The first three issues in this series are already available, with Issue No.4 set to release on the 19th, and No.5 on November 9th.

Not So ‘Brave And Bold’

However, not everyone is quite on board.

On the release of the news, Dean Cain – who played the live-action rendition of Superman in the 90’s show Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman – told the panel on Fox & Friends his thoughts on the move.

It’s hard for me to keep track of all the different Supermen and the different worlds and adventures that he has in the comics. They said it’s a bold new direction, I say they’re bandwagoning.

Robin just came out as bi — who’s really shocked about that one? The new Captain America is gay. My daughter in Supergirl, where I played the father, was gay. So I don’t think it’s bold or brave or some crazy new direction. If they had done this 20 years ago, perhaps that would be bold or brave.

Brave would be having him fighting for the rights of gay people in Iran where they’ll throw you off a building for the offense of being gay.

They’re talking about having him fight climate change and the deportation of refugees and he’s dating a hacktivist — whatever a hactivist is. = [a person who breaks into a computer system in order to pursue a political or social aim].

Why don’t they have him fight the injustices that created the refugees whose deportation he’s protesting? That would be brave, I’d read that. Or fighting for the rights of women to attend school and have the ability to work and live and boys not to be raped by men under the new warm and fuzzy Taliban — that would be brave. There’s real evil in this world today, real corruption and government overreach, plenty of things to fight against. Human trafficking — real and actual slavery going on … It’d be great to tackle those issues.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

[7] Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. [8] Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

Jude 7-8

What’s next month? Batman, the Dark Knight transforms into the Trans Knight? And then after that, Aquaman will be so progressive he’ll put a whole new meaning on the term “Gender Fluid.”

I am not going to even get into the wickedness and debauchery associated with the whole superhero and comic book world already; but this perverted move by DC once again shows just how abominable the world has become, and will only get worse from here until the Lord intervenes.

Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).
