Earlier this week the Ukrainian Parliament voted to ban the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) from being openly practiced in the country, with claims that the religious denomination is too closely tied to Russia and President Vladimir Putin.

The Orthodox Times reported on the 20th:

Ukraine’s parliament has voted to ban an Orthodox Church with ties to the Moscow Patriarchate, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church under Metropolitan Onufriy, marking a significant move two-and-a-half years into Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The church is often viewed as a conduit for Kremlin influence within the country.

“It’s a historical decision! Parliament passed a bill banning a subsidiary of the aggressor country in Ukraine,” announced MP Irina Gerashchenko on Telegram, celebrating the outcome.

According to MP Jaroslav Gelezniak, 265 MPs supported the bill, surpassing the required minimum of 226 votes. The new law also includes provisions to ban religious organizations associated with the Moscow-linked church, with such bans to be enforced following a court decision.

All that is left is for President Volodymyr Zelensky to codify it into law, which he has signaled will not hesitate to do when it arrives on his desk.

Andriy Yermak, chief of Ukraine’s presidential administration, said in a statement on Telegram: “The Russian Orthodox Church has nothing to do with faith – it is a tool of the special services,” the Financial Times reported.

He also said, according to the Kyiv Independent, “The church in Ukraine will be free from Moscow’s influence.” “There will be no church split here.”

Zelensky has said “it is our common duty to guarantee Ukrainian spiritual independence.” “Today, I want to celebrate the work of the Verkhovna Rada. A law was passed regarding our spiritual independence,” Zelensky commented after the vote.

Earlier this year neighboring Estonia also backed a resolution that declared the Russian Orthodox Church to be an “institution sponsoring the military aggression of the Russian Federation,” the Kyiv Independent reported at the time.

Al Jazeera said ‘opinion polls show that about 82 percent of Ukrainians do not trust the UOC.’

The WinePress reported in March, 2023, that Ukrainian forces began to raid these Orthodox temples and arrest clerics.

Upon this latest move by the Ukrainian government to sever ties with the ROC, representatives from Constantinople to discuss so-called “church unity” with Zelensky.

Reported by Orthodox Christianity, ‘In a conversation with Patriarch Bartholomew, President Zelensky praised the banning of what is the largest Church in the nation for its “unifying potential.” The head of state said in his nightly address:’

I spoke with Patriarch Bartholomew. I thanked him for his support of Ukraine and Ukrainians, our defense, our independence. I informed him about the law passed to strengthen our spiritual independence.

It is very important that we share a common understanding of the unifying potential for Ukrainian Orthodoxy that this passed law provides, and everything is provided for it, in sufficient measure, to really eliminate dependence on Moscow and to add unity to Ukraine.

The outlet added: ‘“Metropolitan” Epiphany Dumenko and “Archbishop” Evstraty Zorya, the leaders of the schismatic OCU were summoned to Constantinople last week, which resulted in Dumenko publishing a so-called “Appeal to Metropolitan Onuphry with a call for a dialogue on unity.”’

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

Ah yes, another shining example of the “free democracy” Ukraine is supposed to represent, so we are told. While I am not here to defend the ROC – as it’s just sacrilege and vain traditions that are so far removed from the New Testament and the King James Bible, and are vassals of Rome and the Vatican as far as I am concerned – it’s important to point out these types of events, and Western and Ukrainian hypocrisy.

The rest of my commentary goes back to what I said over a year ago when the Ukrainian government started raiding these churches:

A little over a year ago to date, I reported that Pope Francis would pray a set of blessings (cursing) to their Marian idol (the Babylonian Semiramis) for Ukraine and Russia – for which I said this would only signal doom. As I noted in that report – (which I think you should reread) – the Ukrainians, many of them, began to pray to the Roman Catholic Virgin Mary for protection. The nation itself has had long ties to Roman Catholicism and adoration for the Mary of Rome.

However, when I learned of this news in Ukraine I had a bit of an epiphany, realizing something that never really dawned upon me until last night:

From my perspective, we are seeing a massive consolidation of religion happening around the world, ultimately under the banner and umbrella of Rome. Prior to II Vatican Council in the 60’s, what Rome used to call “heretics” were then called “separated brethren.” But now that everyone in the mainline religions and denominations have sworn their allegiance to the Vatican, and have been thoroughly polluted with Roman Catholic dogmas; it appears Rome is now starting to tie-up their “loose ends,” and truly bring an end to all of these sects that are now wholly Roman Catholic. Thus, it appears that the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine is biting the bullet now.

Furthermore, when you consider the state the United States, Europe, Australia, and the rest of the Western lands are in – their economies are at end are set to go thermal nuclear, and the loss of life will be immense, due to the unpayable debts, the famine, the disease, the wars, the anarchy, etc. In the midst of that – though the Protestants ended their protest in 1999, with the Orthodox, Pentecostals, Evangelicals, Baptists, Mormons, and others all doing the same before and thereafter – the destruction of these Western nations will finally see the end of these sects and denominations, along with the liberal and rebellious Catholics; thus, leaving the traditionalists and radical Catholics, the New Apostolic Reformation blasphemers, and other sympathizers left. In other words, “Ignite the Right.”

I already knew this was the overall plan, but as I said when I saw this information, it made me realize once again what is happening.

I often rip on the WEF, UN, WHO, and other globalists, and for good reasons; but one must not forget that ROME is pulling the strings first and foremost.

Revelation 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. [6] And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. [18] And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).
