The Israel Defense Force (IDF) has recently unveiled their new advanced and AI-powered Barak tank, which has already become operational and incorporated into the military’s Armored Corps.

The Defense Ministry added in their release the new tank has been in development and production for over five years.

The Jerusalem Post explained what’s so special about this type of tank:

With new targeting abilities, the tank is designed to monitor its surroundings and process and present the information to the soldiers in a simple and easy-to-use way. As part of this, the tank is programmed to zero in on and target enemy forces before they are able to attack the tank.

The system also allows the drivers to focus on one environment at a time, allowing them to see their surroundings outside the tank with a push of a button, using the Elbit Systems IronVision helmet, which enables the tank’s crew to “see through the vehicle’s armor.”

This is meant to help solve complex navigation issues in different situations, especially in urban areas.

Among the new elements in the Barak are advanced targeting systems that combine data processing and independent scanning abilities, improved firing abilities that allow precise targeting in daylight and at night, improved cameras for driving at night, and radios.

The new tank’s system is designed to keep advancing as warfare and the battlefield develop. The machine-learning will adapt the system in such a way that soldiers will not have to constantly learn how to use new functions.

The tank will still feature the typical four-man spaces: the commander, driver, gunner, and loader), but because of the AI their jobs may change.

On the occasion of marking 50 years since the Yom Kippur War, and the heroic battles fought by the Armored Corps defenders of our land, we receive further proof of the relevance and strength of the tank as a fundamental and decisive component of the ground forces.

The new era ushered in by the ‘Barak’ tank is an extraordinary leap and a clear expression of the technological capabilities that continually enhance and secure the qualitative advantage of the IDF, both in defense and offense. I extend great appreciation to the engineers and professionals of MANTAK, the Ground Forces, and all those involved in this project.

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said.

This is not the first time the IDF has embraced AI-powered military weaponry. In 2021 Israel debuted the first-ever AI drone swarm, with manual input from drivers, to perform blitzkrieg-style tactics. Also, this past July Israel announced that AI will begin to manage some of their targeting systems and perform other logistical functions.

Awake, awake, Deborah: awake, awake, utter a song: arise, Barak, and lead thy captivity captive, thou son of Abinoam.

Judges 5:12 (Read the whole story in Judges 4, and the NT reference in Hebrews 11:32-34

What could go wrong with AI operating your military devices, right? We have truly entered into a new generation of warfare, not even fought by joysticks and remotes anymore, but now AI that continues to learn and get smarter to fight battles. This will end badly, all of it.

A stone is heavy, and the sand weighty; but a fool’s wrath is heavier than them both.

Proverbs 27:3

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • 7 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.
8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
    Mark 13:7-8

  • I literally just got finished with the book of Judges, as part of my daily reading of the KJB from start to finish (and Ruth, on 1 Samuel now, a perpetual cycle I strive to do with the Bible.). So they named their tank Barak. They can name their tanks Samson or their missiles Jerubbaal but without Jesus Christ, the Jews are in for a horrible time in the future.

    Judges 2:1-4
1 And an angel of the Lord came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my covenant with you. 2 And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down their altars: but ye have not obeyed my voice: why have ye done this? 3 Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you. 4 And it came to pass, when the angel of the Lord spake these words unto all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept.

Applies to saved Christians also, if we will be friends with the lost, or live around many lost people, we will fall into their wicked, worldy ways and be vexed daily by them. (Guess who is the angel of the Lord. Hint, learned this from Bryan Denlinger, Born Again Barbarian YT channel, go there for King James Bible studies.)

Rebellious lost women complain about the KJB, without even really reading the book. If you get a woman whining about the Bible, it’s a dead giveaway that she is lazy, among other things. Aside from the two books named after women, you also have Deborah who judged the children of Israel, along with Jael who nailed Sisera’s head to the ground, also the woman who dropped a piece of millstone on mighty Abimelech’s head. And other women who had done great things in scripture.
