“It’s obvious to everyone who did it,” Putin said at the time of the attack.

Victoria Nuland, the United States Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, basically acknowledges that the U.S. were responsible for sabotaging Russia’s Nord Stream 2 Pipeline last year.

In late-September of last year The WinePress reported on the destruction of a natural gas pipeline that flowed from Russia to Germany, though the pipeline was not supplying fuel at the time of the explosion. Russia and NATO immediately began to play the blame game, accusing each other of wrecking the Nord Stream 2.

At the time this happened Russian President Vladimir Putin did not hesitate to blame the U.S. for these nefarious acts.

It’s obvious to everyone who did it.

Putin said

But it seems Putin’s claims were just vindicated.

During a recent Senate hearing last week, Victoria Nuland basically implied that it indeed was the U.S. who did it, gloating about the destruction of the pipeline. Addressing questions by Texas Senator Ted Cruz, Nuland said:

Senator Cruz, like you, I am, and I think the administration is, very gratified to know that Nord Stream 2 is now, as you like to say, a hunk of metal at the bottom of the sea.

Victoria Nuland is a controversial figure especially concerning her associations with the Ukraine, as she is one of the key figureheads that was apart of the Ukrainian government’s overthrow in 2014, overthrowing the democratically-elected president and replacing him with the United States’ handpicked leader.

Citing one of the older articles from 2015 concerning the issue, The Trends Journal recounted the overthrow and Nuland’s part in it:

In early February 2014, a recording was leaked of Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs, Victoria Nuland, telling Geoffrey Pyatt, the US Ambassador to Ukraine, that the UN was on board to “help glue” the plan to replace Ukrainian President Victor Yanukovych with Arxeniy Yatsenyuk. “Yats is the guy,” Nuland informed Pyatt who urged her to move quickly because “the Russians will be working behind the scenes to torpedo” the deal.
“F#&* the EU!” Nuland told Payatt. “Exactly,” he responded.

Shortly thereafter, Yanukovych was overthrown and “Yats” became president. Ukraine agreed to Nuland’s demands to make “a new deal with the IMF,” which was “necessary for the long term economic health of the country.” Yet, the new Western-leaning Kiev government did not represent the Russian-speaking Ukrainians in the east and south who had voted Yanukovych into office.

One year later, Ukraine is racked by civil war and is in depression. The US and EU blame Russia for the destabilization because of its support of Ukrainian separatists. And as punishment, the US pushed the EU to impose trade sanctions against Russia. Russia retaliated with trade sanctions against Europe.

Furthermore, it should be noted that prior to the 2014 overthrow that Nuland had already invested $5 billion in non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Ukraine to “teach democracy.”

In November of 2022 Putin also referred to this coup d’état during a speech. He said

We were not the ones to organize a coup d’état in Ukraine, which resulted in our special military operations. We are not the ones who did it. It’s the West that has driven us to this point. I advocate democratic relations.

He said that the West was “losing the upper hand” in international affairs and dominance. Furthermore, he again noted that NATO had broken their treaty agreements to not further expand their reach, but adulterated their agreements – which is “totally unacceptable to us, and everybody knew that, and they ignored,” Putin said at the time.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they.

Ecclesiastes 5:8

Nuland is one of the many American imperial agents that needs to be tried and dealt with for her crimes in Ukraine, and elsewhere. But, her admission is not shocking: it was pretty obvious at the time, to me at least, that the U.S. once again is trying to do whatever they can to stoke war. It’s the only product and service American provides: debt and war.

Nevertheless, it is still irrelevant as to who did it because all it does is further proliferate this war, only inching us closer and closer to World War III; which we basically already have had.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • It’d be nice if we could get some righteous leaders who will try and mend the wounds and right the wrongs of America. Unfortunately, decades of complacency and the people blindly singing “God bless America” at the top of their lungs while playing church on top of being total apostates has left this nation ripe for judgement. National revival even from a simple morality and just government standpoint is a mere fantasy at this point, let alone a mass wave of people falling before the Lord and asking him to forgive them and save them.
