Christian Production Company Makes ‘Dark And Gritty’ Superhero Parody Movie Called “Bibleman”

Christian movie company “After School Program” appears to be releasing a more darker and modern rendition of the popular Bibleman series.

Bibleman was a TV show first-aired in 1995, featuring a crimefighting superman resembling Batman, who goes around quoting scripture while trying to stop evil.

Miles Peterson had everything: Money, power, fame…Until he lost it. Then Miles finds the power of God and harnesses that power to become Bibleman.

Since then other spin-offs were created, such as a 3D animation Bibleman show that airs on different Christian-based networks, Sunday schools, and Vacation Bible Schools.

Now a small film production group is looking to release a much more mature and “darker” interpretation of the beloved superhero.

A dark, gritty, unofficial Bibleman trailer written and directed by Zack Millsaps and produced by After School Program and Name Brand Productions. A Greenville, SC-based creative team with over 200 million combined views of music videos, parodies, and sketches.

As explained in the ‘behind the scenes’ footage of the trailer, Director of Photography Brian French said:

We’re gonna take Bibleman as if HBO, DC, was like, ‘Hey, there’s this show that kids like in this small little Christian community in the U.S.’ Let’s make this as dark, as gritty, as raw as another superhero movie there is.

Shama Mrena, acting as the character of Cypher, said:

Everybody has a different in their mind when they think “Christian movie.” And, uh, the stigma is real and we all know it. […] We all thought, ‘Hey, this could be cool.’

I grew up with Veggie Tales but I never saw or heard of Bibleman. But this is the type of stuff the Lord abhors. Trying to act like the lost world and use their idols and gods to “evangelize” children is disgusting, and is the reason why the secular world just mocks and laughs at the word of God, and for good reason.

Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

These fools – every time these “Christians” and churches try to accommodate and do as the lost world does, the apostasy and wickedness get exponentially worse.

If you pay close attention to the beginning of the trailer you hear one of the characters say, “There is only one person who can save us.” This “Bibleman” is literally replacing Jesus Christ as the Savior! Of course I’m sure these producers would try and back peddle, but there is no other way to interpret that.
