Donald Trump, the 45th and now 47th President of the United States, was seen not swearing an oath with his hand on the Bible, something that is traditionally performed by all Presidents and all federal politicians.

The New York Post was the first to point this out. The President instead kept his left hand by his side. ‘Trump used both a family Bible and the so-called Lincoln Bible, which was sworn on by the 16th president in 1861 as well as Barack Obama in 2009 and 2013,’ the paper noted.

Trump has said in the past that the Bible is his “favorite book.” Trump also promoted the “God Bless the USA” Bible in 2024, inspired by country singer Lee Greenwood. Recently, Greenwood and the publishers of that Bible, which uses a King James text, re-released an Inauguration edition of the God Bless the USA Bible.

Something also present at Trump’s Inauguration was the presence of a large number of billionaires and other lavish business interests. It was no secret that multibillionaires, some of the richest men in the world, donated to Trump’s inauguration and would be present at the event.

This included the likes of Elon Musk, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Apple CEO Tim Cook and Google CEO Sundar Pichai, including its founder Sergey Brin. TikTok CEO Shou Chew was also seen in nestled in the back row of the stage.

Geopolitical Economy Report points out that at least 11 billionaires will play a direct role in his administration, Trump himself also a billionaire, thus marking this as the richest administration in U.S. history by far.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

If you watched his inauguration speech and listened to the invocational prayers, it went how you might expect. It was more empty, hollow words about American exceptionalism and prosperity – the same stuff he said last time, for the most part.

Micah 3:5 Thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him. [6] Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them. [7] Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God.

As I pointed out several times last year, you might have noticed that Trump and his allies’ calls to “drain the swamp” were dialed back dramatically, and now we see why as he is no longer hiding that it’s a gigantic club that we are not in; many of these bozos that he once ripped into are now his biggest fans. It was an act from the start.

Furthermore, as I noted in December, I asked two simple questions: How are we defining ‘America’ in “America First” and why isn’t the slogan, “the people first?” The reason is because Trump is referring to the institution and the military industrial complex, now us the commonfolk: that rhetoric is only used to deceive the ignorant laity at his rallies.

Larry Fink’s BlackRock made it very plain in the weeks leading up to the election in November: “I’m tired of hearing this is the biggest election in your lifetime. The reality is over time, it doesn’t matter.”

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • Nice read, I just passed this onto a colleague who was doing some research on that. And he just bought me lunch because I found it for him smile Thus let me rephrase that: Thank you for lunch! “A human being has a natural desire to have more of a good thing than he needs.” by Mark Twain.

  • I’ve read several good stuff here. Definitely worth bookmarking for revisiting. I wonder how much effort you put to create such a wonderful informative web site.

  • Definitely believe that which you said. Your favorite reason seemed to be on the web the easiest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I definitely get annoyed while people consider worries that they just don’t know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people could take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks

  • An fascinating discussion is value comment. I think that it’s best to write extra on this subject, it might not be a taboo topic however generally people are not enough to speak on such topics. To the next. Cheers
