As fertilizer shortages continue to become a reality for farmers and consumers, The Guardian is now promoting the idea of what they dub “peecylcing” to replace conventional fertilizer use.
The British paper is advocating people begin to start saving their urine, and to even consider donating if not selling your pee to farmers for profit.
The Guardian wrote:
Thanks to the war in Ukraine, there is a shortage of agricultural chemicals. As each adult produces enough pee annually to fertilise 145kg of wheat, perhaps bodily waste is the answer.
Recycled as what? Fertiliser. Human urine is a rich source of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. According to the Rich Earth Institute of Vermont, the urine one adult produces in a year – 125 US gallons (473 litres) – is sufficient to grow 320lbs (145kg) of wheat.
If I can use my pee to humiliate Putin, then that weird dream I had last week will sort of come true. What’s more, those same nutrients, when flushed into wastewater systems, become contaminants responsible for creating environmentally damaging algal blooms.
So by saving my pee I could help the environment, thwart Russian aggression and produce urine-rich bread? You’d also save about 4,000 US gallons (15,000 litres) of potable water annually, according to the Rich Earth Institute.
Let’s say I wanted to give my urine to a farmer. How would I go about that? If you live in Vermont, you can donate it by the jug. The foundation supplies free funnels and has a collection depot in Brattleboro. It can be “a little sloshy” at first, peecycler Kate Lucy told the New York Times, but you get used to it.
If fertiliser is so expensive, why I can’t I sell my pee for profit? The price of urine has risen recently – from $1 for 25 litres to about $6, but you’d be hard-pressed to make a living as a sole provider.

However North Korea has already tried to do something similar, and it more than likely may have created new pestilence because of it.
While using bodily excrement or excretions to fertilize crops may seem alien in the West, isolationist North Korea has reportedly urged its citizens to defecate and urinate on crops for the purpose of fertilization multiple times with the goal of averting food shortages.
In 2017, it was claimed that North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un may have inadvertently started a parasitic worm epidemic in the country by forcing farmers to use human feces on their crops.

People don’t realize it, but here in the United States a lot of, if not most of the food that is conventional produced, uses repurposed sewer sludge or “biosludge” or “biosolids” as they sometimes call it.

You can look up the remainder of the story for yourself, but what is being described here is playing out once again. It starts out by selling all these very undesirable cuts of meat and creatures, and then turns into eating and drinking literal crap and piss. Then it descends into full-blown cannibalism.

How bizarre how they made Ezekiel bread that big superstitious health-food thing when it comes out of that context of Ezekiel 4 foreshadowing the coming famine & judgment. Along with the so-called ‘Daniel diet’ trying to equate pulse with lentils. I guess the bread did sustain the man of God in the straitness, but the pulse & water was purely miraculous. Last I checked, all you have to do is compost some leaves and scraps in a bin to make fertilizer. You can stream-line the process with a bit of creativeness…, but that has got to be better than saving pee. Also…what about all them cow patties and chicken dung, gather those if you need fertilizer!
And furthermore…isn’t America supposed to be a rather large food producer? Why in the world are we not producing our own Fertilizer? Sure, I can understand a smaller nation needing to import some vital materials, but America has no excuse.

I watched on you tube the lady said dont use your urine if you take medications or drugs.She said do 2 parts urine 10 parts water for green leafy vegetables and do the urine with water along with potash in a 5 gallon bucket.she also said do not put the urine fertilizer on the leaves pour it around the base of it.She said her and her husband has been doing it for years in their garden you dont want just anyone to use their urine if they are exposed to chemicals like drugs the covid death shot anything that is toxic.Do it with precaution…because fertilizer is going to be very hard to come by and most people want be able to afford it.I know it sounds crazy but if you can use manure from animals what is to say you cant use your own urine You really dont know what all is in that manure they have on the market unless you have your own animals you raised and fed…just saying.
Sorry I didnt clarify myself on the potash fertilizer but that was for tomato plants cant remember the other plants
I think Im gonna try and stick with the traditional fertlizer for my small garden just to be safe,but who knows these days what all they put in these fertilizers even the ones they say is organic.
I dont think I would want that fertilizer if everyone is peeing on it transferring their spike proteins and MRNA to the fertilizer to kill off more people NO THANKS!!
