Liquid Death, the mineral water company that is known for their over-the-top marketing and labeling, utilizing murderous and hellish tropes in sometimes of a comedic way, have now taken things further with their latest marketing push: opening a steakhouse that sells meat meant to emulate the flesh from mankind.
Released in late-October in time for Halloween, the water company opened a subsidiary business called the “Vegan Cannibal Steakhouse.” This was not a parody/gag, but indeed sold food products for consumption, striking an exclusive deal with Postmates.
The actual meat itself is not bloody flesh from man, but “100% plant-based, cruelty-free human meat.” However, that did not stop the company from branding their faux human meats as gory as they could, with their trademark mischievous humor.
At the Vegan Cannibal Steakhouse, we believe that human meat is murder. That’s why we only serve you and your family 100% plant-based, cruelty-free human. Now you can enjoy all the human meat you crave, but without anyone getting killed!
The Vegan Cannibal Steakhouse was brought to Los Angeles, California, and New York, New York, for a limited time, but the company has a submission form to request a steakhouse be brought to your city.
The steakhouse sold meals such as ‘New Yorkerless Strip Steak’ – described as “Vegan human steak served with blood red reduction, whipped garlic potatoes, and spiced heirloom carrots and paired with a Liquid Death Mountain Water” – ‘Guiltless Grilled Rack of Sam,’ and ‘Manless Meatballs in Marinara.’
In their FAQ section, the company said “We’ve researched the flavor of human meat tirelessly. According to most cannibals, it’s been described as similar to pork but slightly more bitter. Others have said it tastes like “full-developed veal.” Whatever you call it, we call it delicious!”
Not long ago, The WinePress reported on another campaign from the Scandinavian lands, called “Eat A Swede?;” which used identical verbiage to Liquid Death’s marketing campaign, but much less “murdery” and more formal.

And just as with that campaign, that campaign and film was fictious, but was designed to cause a stir, to get the masses thinking about sustainability for the future. Liquid Death shares similar a philosophy.
And while both parties say that eating the flesh and blood of man is asinine, The WP showed in that report that there have been other pushes for the masses to accept human flesh, and in some cases, are already being accomplished in broad daylight with the majority completely unaware and unconcerned.
