The following report is by The Trends Journal (excerpts):
Jean-Noël Barrot, the French foreign minister, told the BBC that Paris has no “red lines” when it comes to its support for Ukraine.
“The principle has been set… our messages to President [Volodymyr] Zelensky have been well received,” he told the broadcaster.
He also did not rule out French troops joining the conflict.
“We will support Ukraine as intensely and as long as necessary. Why? Because it is our security that is at stake. Each time the Russian army progresses by one square kilometer, the threat gets one square kilometer closer to Europe,” he said.
Scott Ritter, the former UN weapons inspector, posted on X after the announcement that Russia will “strike France.”
“NATO should withhold Article 5 protection. Let [French President Emmanuel] Macron stew in his own juices. Lest we all stew together,” he posted.
Ukrainian forces last week fired the UK-provided Storm Shadow missiles and U.S.-provided ATACMS to strike targets inside Russia after getting permission from the West.
Maria Zakharova, the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, responded to Barrot’s comments and said the move does not “support Ukraine,” but is rather a “death knell for Ukraine.”
Sergey Lavrov, Moscow’s top diplomat, noted last week that Ukrainians would be unable to fire these technical weapons without personnel from the countries that provided them, which means its forces are playing an active role in the war.
AUTHOR COMMENTARY
Just several days ago NATO Admiral Rob Bauer suggested “preemptive” surgical strikes inside Russia. Russia, in response to France and the United States allowing Ukraine to fire their weapons within Russia, has changed its nuclear doctrine; and days later Russia fired a new hypersonic missile in Ukraine that the Western powers currently are incapable of defeating.
Mark 13:7 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. [8] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).
