With President Donald Trump retaking office, and his administration’s and the broader government’s avid push to embrace cryptocurrencies, a new wave of interest in cryptos and those looking to get in early on the “fear of missing out” (FOMO), the dangers of this highly volatile and risky sector have once again reared its ugly head.

Recently a teenager livestreamed the creation of a memecoin cryptocurrency called $Quant and enticed a number of people to invest after the coin was traded. It wasn’t long thereafter that the teen rug-pulled the crypto, flipped-off his audience, and profited nearly $30K.

‘Lookonchain reports that Griffin subsequently created another two tokens called LUCY and SORRY. Despite the SORRY token appearing to be an attempt at an apology for his previous scheme, he proceeded to dump his holdings again, making a further $24,000,’ Protos reported.

Many people did not take too kindly to this, naturally, and so as word of the scam spread many more investors bought in out of spite to push the value of the coin significantly, at one point reaching $80 million in value.

The kid and his entire family are being doxxed on the internet because of his scams.

Stephen Findeisen (a.k.a. “Coffeezilla”) and Lessons in Meme Culture provide more and better details of the scam, and what this says about society as a whole. Though it is being underreported, this teen is not pocketing all this money because the platform he and others used takes a decent cut of the money.

Proverbs 28:20 A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent. [22] He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.

Get rich quick scams and pump & dumps are nothing new in the slightest; but the fact that a cocky punk kid had it put it in his head to do this for quick cash and glory and says how far society continues to fall; and the worst part being that there were thousands of grown adults who STILL laid caution to the wind – knowing full and well good at this point about crypto scams – and let their greed take a chance for quick cash (that is going to be taxed), speaks to the never-ending lowbrow degeneracy society continues to stoop to.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).
