Pastor Greg Locke of Global Vision Bible Church in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, took to social media recently to reveal that his home and truck were shot-up with in a drive-by shooting while one of his four children was inside when the shooter attacked Locke’s home.

So far no one has been arrested yet.

Locke shared what happened in an Instagram post on September 4th:

It’s 2:00am and for the last 3 hours our home has been a full blown crime scene. According to the security cam footage, we pulled into our driveway exactly ONE MINUTE after a madman unloaded an entire magazine of bullets from an automatic weapon into our house, garage, and my truck.

The sound on the video is truly horrific. Detectives will still be here for a good while tonight. Only one of our kids was home and thank God not in the same area of the house. As you can see in the last pics, one of the bullets cut through the headboard of our youngest daughter’s bed and lodged in her pillow.

We are all being security escorted to a hotel tonight. We have no further details. The only detail that matters is that Psalm 91 is true, and GOD PROTECTED US IN UNIMAGINABLE AND SUPERNATURAL WAYS,” he noted. “Please pray for the Locke family tonight.

Locke is a controversial preacher who has received a lot of support from those on the political right and “Christian Nationalist” movements.

Earlier this year on Easter Sunday, April 4th, someone dropped off a trailer full of burnt Bibles in front of Locke’s church building.

The Christian Post explained why Locke and his family might be increasingly getting targeted in violent attacks:

Locke, who began sharing content on his Facebook page in 2015, became an overnight conservative star after he posted a video on Facebook on April 22, 2016, criticizing Target for its then-new policy of allowing men to enter women’s bathrooms and dressing rooms. He is also well-known for his outspoken opposition to abortion and Planned Parenthood.

In the summer of 2023, months after revealing that he got too involved with politics to the point where it was overshadowing his ministry, Locke, announced that he scrubbed thousands of videos with billions of views from his Facebook page to minimize some of the “collateral damage” they caused.

“We took [down] thousands … of videos, took about three or four days, deleted every one of them,” Locke told his congregation in a Sunday message posted on Facebook. “All of them, all the rants. Not because what I said was wrong, but because when I became a man I put away childish things. And I’ve learned to say things better.”

He then promised that his focus would be on Jesus, and he would stay away from politics.

“I promise you, my word will be for Jesus, not for any candidate. It just won’t. So some of you are going to [have to] get past, or at least if you’re going to stick around, you’re going to have to get past the notion that, because we’re coming into an important year, that I’m about to amp things up,” he said.

“I am, but I’m not amping it up on politics. I’m not. I’ll still spit in the face of Planned Parenthood and call out baby butchers. I’m not going to compromise to the alphabet community,” he added. “I’m [not] going to lay down the sword. I’m just going to be more meticulous and specialize at who we swing it at.”

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

As terrible as the situation is, this is what happens when radical nutcases like Locke say and do what he has for years. I feel bad for the children, they don’t deserve this, but Locke is reaping what he sowed. That’s why Locke has had to tone it down. He wanted to be a big shot, he wanted to get all the attention and notoriety, and is consumed with some much arrogance (and probably some unclean spirits) that he is now reaping what he sowed.

If you act like and portray yourself as a goofy goober wingnut, then you will attract other wingnuts. It’s not hard to figure out the correlation. Again, terrible situation, but you get out what you put in, and that’s all there is to say to that. I don’t condone the shooting one bit; but when you act like a moron and talk all big and tough like Locke does, then “ask, and ye shall receive,” if you get my analogy.

You can read-up on some of the many antics of Locke here.

This has been the same story with these crazed, loose-canon, spiritual anarchists like Steven Andersen, Artur Pawlowski, Mari Mari, etc. Of course, I’m sure Locke will now use this as new fuel to claim he was “persecuted for righteousness sake.”

Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Proverbs 13:2 A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth: but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence.

Proverbs 12:14 A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man’s hands shall be rendered unto him.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

      • What’s your beef with Artur Pawlowski? He stood up for Jesus when most of our country’s cowardly “churches” (glorified social clubs) were disobeying Scripture and shutting down… He tried to warn us that communism was flooding into our country; he was horribly judicially persecuted for taking his stand for Jesus and freedom. Most other pastors (wolves in sheep’s clothing) said and did nothing.

He was correct; Kanadastan (formerly known as “Canada” is an absolute communist disaster.

          • This guy was wrong on sooo many levels, as are those who left very vile and unwarranted comments about him here! Do any of you personally know Artur? Would any of you DARE to take the stand for Christ as he did? I doubt it!

Like the videographer in the link you attached, you’d also condemn Jesus for eating with publicans and sinners! Guilt by association is judging a book by it’s cover, and that’s never a wise idea! False accusations and unwarranted hurt is the result. Artur was there to share his testimony and to warn of pending persecution, not to be a party to their beliefs. Was it a wise choice for him to be in these settings? Probably not, but he was being a compassionate human, warning others what to expect…if Jesus tarries much longer. Artur wasn’t the only pastor arrested in Canada; other solid Bible-preachers were too!

That was the worst video I’ve ever seen put out by this self-righteous brother whom I respected in the past. Not anymore! Thanks for sharing! Artur’s twice the man this very smug and self-righteous “brother” in sheep’s clothing is! I sat here and easily countered every charge he made! I wouldn’t darken the doors of his church, knowing I’d be judged for my attire, would you? They couldn’t be any more modestly dressed if they tried. There were no identifying logos on their clothing to give them an appearance of a cult.

He intentionally took Artur out of context re: his being “elevated”. That was a poor choice of words; English is not his first language. He meant “honored”. Since when does one’s personal testimony have to align with the prophetic role the RC cult in Revelation? This dude wrongly compared him to it! His whole attitude toward Artur brings Mt. 7: 21-23 to mind…

            • What Artur Pawlowski did was sensationalism:

“Sensationalism – the use of shocking or exciting subjects, language, or style in order to interest the public:

              – Kids tend to watch news for its sensationalism.”— Cambridge.org

Take note of the word “kids”.

              Ephesians 4:14
              14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

Just because we aren’t yelling at police officers to intentionally get arrested to promote ourselves on YouTube doesn’t mean we’re not taking public stands for Christ. First of all, you don’t know everyone’s other activities aside from us posting comments here, unless you have a crystal ball.

If you had put aside your emotions and consulted your bible you would’ve seen what he’s really about.

What if I ask you the same, will you take a stand? You can’t even reveal your face and real name here. It’s your choice obviously, not implying that anyone has to have their picture or name publicly online, just saying. You’re the one throwing assumptive accusations here.

I would suggest not being carried away emotionally by “exciting” things. You’re older than us—according to you at least. You should follow the scriptures and choose to set an example to us younger brethren, not act like a child throwing a tantrum with your keyboard.

Ever heard the saying birds of the same feather…? Fill in the rest.

Or most importantly, what do the scriptures say? (And please, don’t say this is about marriage, I’ve heard and seen enough of these). Don’t tell me an old, seasoned preacher like Pawlowski isn’t fully aware of these verses:

              2 Corinthians 6:14-17
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
