According to the Australian Banking Association (ABA), just under 99 percent of all customer interactions with banks now occur digitally.

Macquarie Bank, one of the largest banks in Australia, announced this past week they will immediately phase-out all cash transactions later this month and go cashless, following a national trend of becoming functionally cashless.

The bank announced last September that they would begin to phase-put their use of cash,

Per the bank’s website they say: “In case you missed it, we’re phasing out our cash and cheque services for all products. To prepare for this change, you’ll need to start transacting digitally – a safe, quick, and more convenient way to bank. We’re removing our cash and cheque facilities in a phased approach.”

These stark changes will be implemented in just a few weeks. The bank says:

From Monday 20 May 2024

You won’t be able to:

  • access over the counter services at Macquarie offices
  • deposit or collect cheques at a Macquarie office
  • order new chequebooks.

From Friday 1 November 2024

You won’t be able to:

  • write or deposit personal cheques
  • deposit or request bank cheques
  • deposit cash or cheques over the counter at NAB branches
  • make a super contribution or payment via cheque.

Please note any cheques received after Thursday 31 October 2024 will be returned to the sender.

You can still withdraw cash

If you have a Macquarie Transaction account or Offset account with a Macquarie Debit Mastercard, you can continue to withdraw cash at ATMs across Australia and overseas without fees

As a digital bank, we’re committed to transitioning to completely digital payments, and continuing to ensure our customers can access secure and reliable digital payment options.

Digital banking is a safe, quick, and more convenient way to transact because you can view and track transactions and other account activity in real-time.

Cash use in Australia is reportedly almost non-existent. ‘According to the Australian Banking Association (ABA), just under 99 percent of all customer interactions with banks now occur digitally,’ News.com says.

The WinePress has noted in a series of other reports that Australia is one world’s leading nations in making a complete shift to cashless society, and is set to launch their all-in-one digital IDs this year.

Richard Holden, professor of economics at University of New South Wales (UNSW) Business School, said last year that Australia will become “functionally cashless” by 2025.

I’d say we’ll be functionally cashless by the end of 2025 — it’ll just be a complete rarity. But unless the government gets involved to accelerate the process I think we’ll be actually cashless by 2030.

We’re headed towards a cashless society — the only question is how rapidly.

Proverbs 20:21 An inheritance may be gotten hastily at the beginning; but the end thereof shall not be blessed.

The Australians have no one else to blame but themselves for allowing this to happen, as this is what happens when you trade common sense, logic and liberty for perceived convenience. Most Australians have not a single clue what shall befall them in the end.

Australia’s central bank has even insinuated they will institute a “cash tax” at some point to force the change.

Ultimately, this is a critical step in the formation in the coming mark of the beast system.

Revelation 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: [17] And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. [18] Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Revelation 13:16-18

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • I have no clue what we should do with our money. If you leave it in the bank, they will keep it when they take over. If you take it out of the bank, they will make us go cashless, so what do we do with the money? They get our money either way. I’d like to talk to a Christian financial adviser to see what they suggest. Better yet, I’d like to get out of this corrupt, greedy world, pronto.

    • Char read this 2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 1 Thessalonians 2:19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? from the true and only word of God the KJV Bible, no worries, Jesus will provide for what you need to live just keep following him and his true and only word the KJV.

    • nobody needs a wimp bank structure telling their depositors that bank failures precede digital currencies and the next digital currency fails .
