This ability to create lifelike videos comes courtesy of a company called Arcads. According to the company’s website, “Arcads is an AI-powered tool that transforms text into high-quality, emotionally resonant video ads. It uses advanced AI algorithms to generate authentic, realistic videos, all from the input text you provide.”
“The AI presenters in the videos are designed to appear realistic and engaging,” the company says. However, as noted by some users on X, the videos rely on real people. For example, as seen with the woman in the video above, she is real and her name is Ariel, and she can be contracted for hire on Fiverr. Arcads has the licensing rights from these people to use their likeness. This is explained in the company’s terms of service.
Arcads uses footage of the submitted user models and creators can then upload custom scripts for the models to speak.

FRESHR offers it Customer the option of uploading a script (the “Script”) to the Platform in order to create a final video (the “Video”) which, on the basis of the Video Model chosen, integrates the script, in particular by making the lip-sync and cloning the voice with that of the Video Model Creator or another Creator.
The company says. FRESHR is a french simplified joint-stock company (“Société par Actions Simplifiée”), registered under number 832 905 327 with the Registry of Trade and Companies of Rouen, whose head office is located at 27 Rue Alfred Kastler, Mont Saint Aignan, 76130 France (“FRESHR”).

Sure, the people in this consented, but what happens when someone steals footage of someone else without their permission, and has AI models of them saying and doing all sorts of things?
