A small neighborhood in Tempe, Phoenix, Arizona, touted as a being a car-free and rental-only community has opened, referred to as a “5-minute city,” and it has attracted some recent attention.

The innovative rental community called Culdesac Tempe was first conceptually announced in the fall of 2020, putting up an initial $170 billion to fund its creation, with the goal of becoming the first car-free neighborhood in the United States, as detailed by The New York Times.

According to the developer’s website, Culdesac Tempe is self-described as a 5-minute city. The firm says, “You’re just 5 mins away from all your essentials at the corner market, a quick tune-up at Archer’s Bikes, and a cozy dinner at Cocina Chiwas.”

Culdesac Tempe is designed for walkability. We’ve partnered with the world’s leading mobility companies to bring you the most affordable and convenient ways to get around town. As a resident, you’ll receive 15% off all Lyft rides, free rides on the metro, and Bird scooters just a minute away.

Culdesac Tempe means life at your front door. Removing parking creates ample open space for a large dog park and pool. Our “Extend Your Home On Demand” program allows you to expand and contract your home as you need. Simply book a Guest Suite through the Culdesac app and we’ll handle the rest.

The neighborhood’s website says

The current prices apartments are as follows:

  • Studios from $1300s
  • 1 bedrooms from $1400s
  • 2 bedrooms from $2000s
  • 3 bedrooms from $3200s

The website also notes that they will soon be adding a public pool and hot tub. More construction overall appears to be on the way.

The managing directors produced some videos highlighting their 5-minutr city.

NBC recently published reports about this city and bringing more attention to it.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

This is what the World Economic Forum had prophesized would happen by 2030, and we’re now starting to see it really take shape. Just a few more upgrades and this thing is WEF approved! Go back and read my article, “Agenda 2030: You’ll Own Nothing And Be Happy,” and therefore the creation of these smart cities are being built right before our eyes:

Welcome to the year 2030. Welcome to my city – or should I say, “our city”. I don’t own anything. I don’t own a car. I don’t own a house. I don’t own any appliances or any clothes.

It made no sense for us to own cars anymore, because we could call a driverless vehicle or a flying car for longer journeys within minutes. We started transporting ourselves in a much more organized and coordinated way when public transport became easier, quicker and more convenient than the car. Now I can hardly believe that we accepted congestion and traffic jams, not to mention the air pollution from combustion engines. What were we thinking?

Sometimes I use my bike when I go to see some of my friends. I enjoy the exercise and the ride. It kind of gets the soul to come along on the journey. Funny how some things seem never seem to lose their excitement: walking, biking, cooking, drawing and growing plants. It makes perfect sense and reminds us of how our culture emerged out of a close relationship with nature.

The WEF wrote in essay about future life in 2030

-And if you listened to the NBC reports, some of these same talking points were promoted.

Moreover, the WEF has touted the concept of “15-minute cities.” I plan to discuss more of this in a detailed report later, but basically the WEF and these globalist want these tight cluster cities with limited mobility, and everything accessible in 15 minutes or less, basically; but this “city” is taking this to an even greater extreme by creating a FIVE-minute city!

More of these going to be erected in the not-so distant future, especially as economic conditions worsen, and world populations take a sizeable haircut coming up as well…

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • its easier for saved men to lay low because they blend in but saved women stick out with their modest apparel.

what would you suggest for saved women around the world?

    • I always wear a dress. Or long tunic with leggings. Always modest. You can blend in or stand out, whichever you choose, depending on the design, fabric, colors, etc. I will occasionally wear slacks, but the top is long enough that I am still extremely modest. I always looked professional and pleasant for teaching. So I think these are good ideas. Hope this helps.

    • We stick together and trust in Jesus Christ and God’s plan.

Scripture says husbands are to protect their wives and daughters. When the millennial rest is here we will no longer need weapons. That means we can be armed now, if that helps, but to live in fear is to not have faith. God can hide us or He can take us from this world to be forever with Him. There is no death for those who have faith. That is my two cents.

    • From the true word of God the KJV bible
Philippians 1:20 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
Romans 14:8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

  • Oh, it looks so pleasant doesn’t it. So pleasant it makes me want to puke; they can have their “utopia”, looks like total control and They didn’t show the fence and guards that will object to ya having a 30min trip or a get me outta here!

  • There is definitely nothing appealing about it in my eyes I love the good ole country with trees and and flowers and such. That place is a desolate place. There is no life in it.

    • Hmm it seems like your website ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any suggestions for beginner blog writers? I’d genuinely appreciate it.

  • Ok, I will give credit where credit is due. After watching the last, long, video, I can see that thought went into which plants were planted. And I admire the choices. I was going to be sarcastic about where is the community vegetable garden. ??? But it is what it is… a desert. The plants were chosen for the food value and medicinal value. But the little that is there can do very little in actuality for the community. Still, I feel like the gardener did what he could.
Now that I gave appropriate credit, I will return to my first thought. It seems a lot like a ghost town with the Stepford Wives feel! The landscaping are those few plants, a few fountains, colorful circles painted on the walls, plus colored door, and….. wait for it…. SHADOWS. Yes, that was pointed out in one of the videos. I just think the whole thing looks creepy, so many corners that evil-doers can hide behind. Dark places at night. A nightmare. Would anyone hear me if I screamed?
And should electricity go out, or some other emergency, living in the desert is bad enough, but this place would be a nightmare. Trapped in crowded quarters with nothing really.
I don’t see how anyone can imagine it is good.
A lot of effort went into designing this one…. as time goes on, I’m sure the effort will be stunted and the amenities even worse.

  • Well my comment didn’t post. It does that a LOT, so here it is again and it will probably post twice.

Jacob, I have to ask the question……….If these places rent for starting price $1400 and go way up, how do these people make the money to live there? It doesn’t look too industrial or any offices, etc to work in. Second of all, it looks VERY boring for the jet set to live in. I don’t see this place having great reviews. Gimme Heaven. It’s a much better place to be.

    • They won’t. Again the moniker, “You’ll own nothing and be happy.” Most people in the states won’t survive the coming collapse, and those that do will trade their remaining freedoms for digital slavery and social credit and UBI.
