The United Kingdom is considering sending British soldiers to Ukraine to help train the troops there, according to a report by The Telegraph. However, the post originally said that the U.K. would definitely be sending troops, but then at sometime later reworded their post to say that it was up for deliberation; but the post did not indicate that it was updated.
The current opening line to the article reads: “Britain will ramp up its training programme for Ukrainian soldiers under plans being discussed with military chiefs, the new Defence Secretary has disclosed.”
However, the old one originally read: “British troops will be deployed in Ukraine for the first time under plans being discussed with military chiefs, UK’s new Defence Secretary has disclosed.”
Nevertheless, The Telegraph still does admit this much: “In an interview with The Telegraph, Grant Shapps said he had held talks with Army leaders about moving “more training and production” of military equipment into Ukraine. He also called on more British defence firms to set up factories in the country.”
I was talking today about eventually getting the training brought closer and actually into Ukraine as well.
Particularly in the west of the country, I think the opportunity now is to bring more things “in country”, and not just training… but also we’re seeing BAE [the UK defence firm], for example, move into manufacturing “in country,” for example.
I’m keen to see other British companies do their bit as well by doing the same thing. So I think there will be a move to get more training and production in the country.
Shapps said
A month ago Shapps also said this:
We’ve seen in the last month or so, developments – really the first since 2014 in the Black Sea, in Crimea – and Britain is a naval nation so we can help and we can advise, particularly since the water is international water.
It’s important that we don’t allow a situation to establish by default that somehow international shipping isn’t allowed in that water. So I think there’s a lot of places where Britain can help advise. [I] did discuss it with President Zelensky and many others this week.
He stated at the time
But British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has attempted to walk back these comments by Shapps.
What the defence secretary was saying was that it might well be possible one day in the future for us to do some of that training in Ukraine.
But that’s something for the long term, not the here and now. There are no British soldiers that will be sent to fight in the current conflict.
Sunak told reporters at the start of the governing Conservative Party’s annual conference in Manchester.
At the same time Germany is partnering with Lithuania to maneuver some of their forces into their country.
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius revealed a few weeks ago the country was looking to send as much as 4,000 soldiers into Lithuania, which already holds 1,500 German troops there already.
In a more recent interview Pistorius claims this move is to display “solidarity and responsibility in the East Wing.” A lot more needs to be done before this new injection of troops arrives, but the two allies are looking at sometime in November or December to accomplish this.
For example, infrastructure. We need barracks, warehouses, training areas, in addition to civilian infrastructure for military families. This is a serious challenge for Lithuania, but also for us. This is unprecedented for the German Bundeswehr. We’ve never done it like that, deploying an entire brigade overseas
He said
Lithuania neighbors the the heavily fortified Russian-occupied territory of Kaliningrad, off of the coast of the Baltic Sea, sandwiched in between Lithuania and Poland.
AUTHOR COMMENTARY
All roads continue to point towards World War III. The U.K. has supplied plenty of war toys to Ukraine, and trained portions of their men, but this is the first time they are actually sending soldiers in uniform to the crippled country.
This move, Germany’s included, further signals these maniacs in power plan to continue to keep this going as long as possible, resulting in WW III, which I think is inevitable at this point; by design to ultimately depopulate…
[7] And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. [8] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows. Mark 13:7-8
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).
