At present, we do not know how the infection was introduced but it is a long-distance jump from the nearest infected area in Europe and we therefore assume that it has been introduced through human activity and not wild boar.
There is currently an extensive spread of infection in Europe. There are countries that have succeeded in eradicating the disease, and that is our national goal.
Karl Ståhl a professor at Swedish National Veterinary Institute (SVA), said
This is first ever such case reported in Sweden, according to Svierges Radio. The first case was confirmed by the SVA, found in a dead wild boar outside Fagersta, Västmanland County. Seven other dead boars were found in proximity and will be tested likewise.
The contingency plan we have had for a long time is now being implemented. We are also taking note of experiences from other countries that have been in a similar situation.
Lena Hellqvist Björnerot of the Swedish Board of Agriculture, said
‘The infection does not affect humans or other animal species, but it can be spread via pig meat or by carrying the virus on shoes, tools and vehicles,’ Meat+Poultry reported.
Since then a massive quarantine zone to prevent the spread of infection has been established, Swedish publication SVT wrote. 996 square kilometers have been blocked off. It is absolutely forbidden for people to enter this area, including ‘ride, hunt, walk with a dog or pick mushrooms,’ SVT noted.

You can stay in an urban area and at home if you live in a house in the forest. You can get out of there if you go on a road. But you must not stop the car if you see very nice chanterelles.
Erika Chenais at SVA stated
This quarantine zone may remain in place for a year, Chenais indicated. “It can take months or up to a year.”
Hunter Pelle Ivansson also told the outlet, “We will definitely find more, there can be 70 to the top of the forest.”
Last year The WinePress reported that scientists throughout Europe were racing to create a new vaccine to tackle an outbreak of ASF last year, that was reportedly popping in multiple European nations.
In July The New York Times warned that the “next pandemic” could originate at the local county fair, fearing the spread of swine flu and other zoonotic threats.
AUTHOR COMMENTARY
Ever since the Covid shamdemic in 2020, the narrative that animal ranching and husbandry is this “dirty” and infectious industry has gone into hyperdrive.
Again, since 2020 we have seen the mass slaughter of so small different animals across the Western world, such as the millions of mink culled in Denmark in 2020.

Moreover, we have seen the continued proliferation that Covid can spread to and forth from pets and animals. Deer have also been the favorite target by the media and scientists for spreading Covid.
But bird flu has been the darling throughout last year and this year, as WinePress regulars know.
Now we are seeing fears and drastic measures to stop this supposed spread of African Swine Fever.
As I continue to warn, the time will come when the “next pandemic” will be blamed on a zoonotic spread, that will justify culling livestock, vaccinating them, and pulling meat off of the shelves, per the goal of the globalist elites.
[1] Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; [2] Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; [3] Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
1 Timothy 4:1-3
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

Sounds like a huge land grab to me. Oh my, the dirt has dirt in it and can be spread to the clean dirt. It’s not good to mess with the Lord’s creation; mess with Fire, ya gets burned.
