It is reported that Macron reached out to South Africa’s Cyril Ramaphosa, who will host the BRICS summit on August 22nd-24th, though it is still unconfirmed if France will receive a formal invitation, as BRICS delegates are allegedly going to convene to see if they will allow France to sit in on the action.
As one Greek outlet put it, citing a French paper that obtained the information about Macron’s ambitions:
‘In essence, France believes that the European market is in crisis due to sanctions against Russia, and the future now belongs to the BRICS, which have taken a large share of the market. France cannot overcome the economic crisis from which the country has been suffering for the past twelve years, and is torn apart by social conflicts. Its access to international markets is not what it used to be. Africa does not want France, consistently expelling French companies from the countries of central Africa. China limited France’s options. Russia is now the enemy. India strengthens and intensifies relations with non- EU countries …,’ the site explained.

France had already made moves to circumvent the collapsing and rapidly devaluing U.S. dollar this year. In a surprise move in late-March, China completed its first trade of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in yuan, after France decided to sideswipe the dollar, ordering of roughly 65,000 tons of LNG imported from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Macron had also angered Western friends when in April Macron made it clear that France and other allies should not continue to get “caught up in crises that are not Europe’s”
The question Europeans need to answer … is it in our interest to accelerate a crisis on Taiwan? No. The worse thing would be to think that we Europeans must become followers on this topic and take our cue from the US agenda and a Chinese overreaction.

Nevertheless, France has still supplied weapons and artillery to Ukraine. “We have increased supplies of weapons, munitions, armored vehicles and have ramped up logistics support. We will continue to di this in the coming days and weeks,” Macron said earlier this week, cited by Russian state media Tass.
In April, the Economic Ninja had predicted that France would eventually succeed from G7 and join BRICS at some point. So far France seems to be on course for that.
Similarly, in early April Japan broke party lines with G7 and purchased Russian crude oil above the agreed price cap in order to bully Russia, as Japan was desperate to restock it supplies while still keeping the door open in trading with BRICS nations.
Meanwhile more and more nations continued to signal that they intend on joining BRICS, a little over a two dozen at this point, with Mexico recently signing a formal membership application, as Saudi Arabia is set to become the latest member.

One by one nation after nation is disassociating with the United States. The U.S. hegemony is clearing coming to a rapid end, as the moves to de-dollarize are in full swing. Whether or not France gets invited remains to be seen, but it demonstrates that they fully intend the desire to get out of out. Everyone is sick of America and the dollar, and now they seek the opportunity to finally dethrone it.
Ultimately the dollar will get dumped and America will descend into a Weimar Republic, among other things, but not before major war over the petrodollar, I assume. Again, de-dollarization will not happen overnight, but it is happening faster and faster.

while it’s clear the dollar will lose its reserve currency status and one would think that economic collapse and hyper-inflation will soon come, why does any of it matter if the Fed introduces the cbdc for all? The Fed will just create as much cbdc as is needed to keep the public in the dark, thus inflation would not be felt since the money is all fake and digital. Am I missing something? It may just be numbers on a screen and a blockchain, but if you can just create numbers out of thin and place arbitrary value on something, then when supply is lowered and demand is high then more digits will be needed to buy something. The con job with inflation does not change all to much, other than items requiring even more of those imaginary digits. It’s a big ball on confusion but that’s the way it appears to me.
