“It was possible to establish the whereabouts of the nuclear submarine with up to 160 nuclear warheads on boards after the sub started going back to the base. A submarine of this class is capable of destroying most of the territory of the United States of America in minutes.”

Last week the United States Coast Guard issued a press release claiming that they were monitoring what they say was a Russian spy ship off of the coast of Hawaii.

The USCG said in their press release:

In recent weeks, the U.S. Coast Guard has continued to monitor a Russian vessel, believed to be an intelligence gathering ship, off the coast of the Hawaiian Islands.

While foreign military vessels may transit freely through the U.S. economic exclusive zone (EEZ), as per customary international laws, foreign-flagged military vessels have often been observed operating and loitering within Coast Guard District Fourteen’s area of response.

The Coast Guard continues to coordinate with Department of Defense partners, providing updates to foreign vessel movements and activities and to appropriately meet presence with presence to encourage international maritime norms.

The U.S. Coast Guard is currently monitoring the Russian vessel operating in the vicinity of Hawaii. As part of our daily operations, we track all vessels in the Pacific area through surface and air assets and joint agency capabilities.

The Coast Guard operates in accordance with international laws of the sea to ensure all nations can do the same without fear or contest. This is especially critical to secure freedom of movement and navigation throughout the Blue Pacific.

Cmdr. Dave Milne, chief of External Affairs, said

Just like the U.S., Russia has been maneuvering and bringing their naval forces near American shores.

On September 19th of last year the USCG reported that Russian and Chinese ships were seen in the Bering Sea a few dozen miles near an Alaskan island, performing joint military drills. The ships were listed as a guided-missile cruiser, roughly 75 nautical miles north of Kiska Island.

While the formation has operated in accordance with international rules and norms, we will meet presence-with-presence to ensure there are no disruptions to U.S. interests in the maritime environment around Alaska.

Rear Adm. Nathan Moore, commander of the Coast Guard’s 17th District, said

Russian media Tass confirmed these joint drills at the time. “Russian and Chinese warships have sailed more than 3,000 nautical miles in the past 12 days and are continuing their patrols,” said the outlet.

In January 2022 Russian media Pravada reported that a Russian submarine carrying 160 nukes on board surfaced undetected off of the U.S. Coast. The outlet wrote:

Russian nuclear submarine of the Borey project (according to other sources, it was an Akula project submarine), approached the US coast unnoticed. It was possible to establish the whereabouts of the nuclear submarine with up to 160 nuclear warheads on boards after the sub started going back to the base. A submarine of this class is capable of destroying most of the territory of the United States of America in minutes.

Bringing things back to more current times, several outlets reported on a Russian naval frigate carrying hypersonic missiles sailing “towards U.S. in the Atlantic in a show of strength.”

Daily Mail reported:

Earlier this month, the frigate was escorted through British waters by the Royal Navy, and French and Spanish ships then escorted it through the Atlantic.

It was scheduled to head south past South Africa to the Indian Ocean then enter the Mediterranean Sea through the Suez Canal.

But monitoring sites claim it took a sudden diversion and headed west towards Bermuda.

An unconfirmed Russian Telegram channel report says the warship was ‘spotted on radar in neutral waters of the Atlantic Ocean – at an effective salvo launch distance from the US coast’.

The Russian defence ministry has not commented on the Navodka channel claim.

Radar monitoring sites suggest the Gorshkov separated from its tailing tanker ship Kama in the Bay of Biscay and headed west.

The Kama has continued its routing to the south, passing the Azores.

The frigate carrying the Mach 9 missiles had been tracked 807 miles west of the Portuguese island of Flores in the Azores, suggested ItaMilRadar.

If so, at this distance it would not at this point be in range of the US for its deadly Zircons.

It should be noted, however, that Russian warships have entered U.S. occupied territory before, such as the case in 2017 when a Russian warship entered the eastern Mediterranean Sea, headed near two U.S. destroyers.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

[7] And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. [8] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.

Mark 13:7-8

Russia has been spying out the United States’ defenses for a LONG time, and this appears to be yet another instance of that; as they continue to chomp at the bit to finally attack and invade the U.S. Though I will say that the most recent reports of this hypersonic missile-carrying cruiser are a bit dubious based on the source material.

Nevertheless, Russia and China are continuing to gear-up for a full-scale war with the United States.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).
