Biden And Pelosi Raise Pay For Federal Employees And Max Pay For House Staff

To close-out 2022 the Biden administration and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi have decided to raise the paychecks of federal employees and politicians once again.

Right before Christmas Eve President Joe Biden signed an executive order that enacts a 4.6% average pay increase, which breaks down into a 4.1% across the board along with a 0.5% locality pay change for millions of civilian staff.

This pay applies to senior executives in the Senior Executive Service, The Executive Schedule (which covers many dozens of branches of the federal government), the Vice President, the Congress, and Judges and Justices.

This salary adjustment officially goes into effect starting today, according to the executive order.

This increase is on par with the pay raise given to military members, and it tracks with recent increases in private-sector pay for the second consecutive year.

Ken Thomas, national president of the National Association for Active and Retired Federal Employees, in a statement, said

On top of that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi also gave the House state a boost in pay.

Pelosi will be officially stepping down this year after serving decades in the political sphere, as the Republicans retook the majority which would have forced her out regardless. Be that as it may, her final act as Speaker and active politician helped boost everyone else’s general salaries in the Congress.

As reported by Fox News, Pelosi’s ‘new directive raising the maximum rate that lawmakers can pay House staff to $212,100 annually — $38,000 more than what members of Congress make. The move comes after Pelosi already issued a directive earlier this year raising the maximum pay staffers can make from $199,300 to $203,700. At the time, Pelosi also instituted a minimum salary level of $45,000 for House staff,’ Fox explained.

‘The new salary cap means that senior staffers can make more annually than the lawmakers who serve as their employees. Both House and Senate lawmakers are paid $174,000 annually,’ Fox added.

You don’t hear any of the other politicians complaining, especially those that align themselves with the Republicans, now do ya? Last week Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) was hoot’n and holler’n about the asinine government spending that goes on and the insanely rushed $1.7 trillion omnibus package that supposedly no one got to read. And while he certainly made good points, I don’t see him complaining about getting even richer now by Biden and Pelosi’s hands.

Moreover, don’t talk to me about “wasteful” government spending: I’ll tell you what’s wasteful, your guaranteed salaries, benefits, lobbying, hush money, and more. I don’t care who it is: don’t try and wax virtuous to me about government spending as you (the politicians I’m saying) say you earn only a little less than $200K a year, but you come out as multimillionaires with massive portfolios and assets, and access to insane optional benefits that we the plebs do not have access to.

You want to end “wasteful” spending? Then let’s start with cutting YOUR salaries, “public servant!” Obviously that will never happen.

What else is new these days? They get richer and print endless money while the people are losing everything. And yet the dumbed-down sheeple STILL vote for these people. Who are the more evil of the two groups: one who does the enslaving and bribery, or the other side that voluntarily and willingly allows it to happen?
