“As Moderna expands internationally, we are delighted to bring mRNA manufacturing to Canada. We believe that this innovative business model will have global impact and implications.”

Moderna is expanding all over the world produce their mRNA vaccines, not just for Covid and any subsequent variants, but also for flu and RSV.

The WinePress reported earlier this week that the United Kingdom officially confirmed a new 10-year contract with Moderna, allowing the pharmaceutical giant to build a new in-house facility that can produce around 250 million mRNA shots annually.

But prior to this announcement Moderna had already struck similar deals with other countries.

In August 10th, 2021, Moderna announced that they will begin constructing a facility in Montreal, Canada. “The collaboration aims to provide Canadians with access to a domestically manufactured portfolio of mRNA vaccines against respiratory viruses, including COVID-19, seasonal influenza, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and potential other vaccines, pending licensure,” the company wrote in a statement.

I would like to thank the Government of Canada for the partnership they have built with us and for their faith in our data, science and early confidence in our mRNA platform in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic. We recently announced data from the final analysis of the Phase 3 COVE study demonstrating that vaccination with the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine showed 93% efficacy, with this efficacy remaining durable six months after administration of the second dose.

As a company, we are committed to global public health. While we are still responding to this pandemic, we also want to ensure we and society learn from it.

As Moderna expands internationally, we are delighted to bring mRNA manufacturing to Canada. We believe that this innovative business model will have global impact and implications.

Stéphane Bancel, Chief Executive Officer of Moderna, said

We are excited to expand our presence and continue our long-term collaboration with Canada. With our industry-leading mRNA technology platform and rapid drug development capabilities, we look forward to being an active participant in Canada’s robust life sciences ecosystem.

Patricia Gauthier, Moderna’s Canadian General Manager, said

The facility’s construction was reaffirmed last month during a press conference with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Similar to the U.K., the plant plans to become fully-operational in 2024, where expect to be producing 100 million mRNA vaccines each year.

Global News added that ‘the prime minister told reporters the COVID-19 pandemic has spurred conversations about “how to make sure Canada is once again able to respond not just to its own needs, but to help lead the world at a time of uncertainty and a time of potentially more pandemics in the coming decades.”’

But it does not stop there. On the other side of the planet Moderna is also building a facility in Melbourne, Australia, in conjunction with Monash University.

According to a university release published on August 15th, the on-campus research and production facility will seek to produce 100 mRNA doses annually, for Covid, the flu, RSV, and anything else the government contracts them to make.

The combination of the manufacturing site, Monash research and training centre bring together all of the elements of an mRNA innovation ecosystem that will deliver long-term health and economic benefits for the community.

Monash is at the cutting edge of mRNA/RNA therapeutics development and we are delighted that Moderna will be joining specialists from across the university and research sector to build an Australian mRNA ecosystem right here in Clayton.

Today’s announcement is recognition of the collaborative work between Australian and Victorian governments, other research institutions and industry partners to develop vaccines and treatments for a range of global health issues.

Monash University President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Margaret Gardner, said

Last month The WinePress reported that Australian government has already begun funding the creation of a new mRNA vaccine for foot & mouth disease to vaccinate their cattle with, which is reportedly to be administered in 2023.

Last year Bill Gates sat down for an interview with India Today where he told reporters that, “For the next pandemic, we will make sure we have gigantic mRNA factories in India and the rest of the developing world to achieve our 100-day goal of being able to make vaccines for everyone.”

MRNA here, there, everywhere! So let’s see: we have the main factories in the United States, then one in Canada, one in the United Kingdom, and then one in Australia. Moderna alone has most of the Western world covered now, with other mRNA producers picking up the slack in other countries such as India; on top of the already preexisting companies like Pfizer and BioNTech that will be making theirs.

As we’ve already covered many times before, another shamdemic is coming, and all the major players are readying themselves for it…

[3] The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word. [10] The city of confusion is broken down: every house is shut up, that no man may come in. [11]There is a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone. [12] In the city is left desolation, and the gate is smitten with destruction.

Isaiah 24:3, 10-12

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).
