Meetkai, a tech company building a metaverse, separates themselves from the rest of the pack by creating digital replications of the real world instead of a completely fictitious realm. With the heavy use of AI and lots of funding, this company seeks to create a nearly perfect digital representation of the real world.
When released, Meetkai will allows users to create their own games or participate in brand-connected real estate that actual people can buy and live in, with others acting as digital landlords. This will be accomplished with powerful AI that will allow those entities to possess utility and intelligence of their own, allowing creators to interact even more realistically with others.

The company’s website says “Anything you can own in real life, you can own in the Metaverse.” Meetkai also promises “a metaverse where you not only exist and own, but also get products delivered to your (real world) doorstep and enjoy real world utility.”
Meetkai has a handful of big-tech investors backing them to make their project become a reality: Huawei, Nvidia, Vidio, Futurewei, Liputan6 and KlikDokter.
The Trends Journal notes that companies like Chinese-based Huawei have had a checkered history of intrusive surveillance and more, during the Trump administration and a little during Biden’s as well – which the Trends Journal has covered several times last year.
In May Meetkai CEO James Kaplan was quoted as saying his metaverse would be great place for dating and relationships, providing more security verification possibilities than the current way.
I believe that Web3 will offer some interesting ways to get around the “just create a new account” problem by implementing new verification practices and requiring users to have a real stake in their profile. [The end result could be] that if they lose it, they get punished proportionally.

On top of that, Kaplan told Medium.com his vision for Meetkai:
We’re building a metaverse product because a lot of real-life experiences people have now are cost prohibitive or simply impractical due to a whole suite of reasons for people. Apps, which did democratize a number of them, are fundamentally limited in what they can do given their constraints of form and function.
An XR metaverse on the other hand allows us to deliver not just replacements for many real-world experiences, but also fundamental improvements to them too. But our goal is not to develop something that is purely the virtual — our metaverse is rooted in reality. There is already a real world that is very interesting out there, it is just not being exposed to enough people.
Kaplan was also asked in what ways he feels the metaverse will be able to “do better” than real life, Kaplan listed some examples:
Bringing people more closely together, antiquating functions likes Zoom; shopping will vastly improve, as environments will be tailored to the user’s personal preferences; and the ability to better try out different items and experiences, without the risks or the costs, such as overlooking a vacation destination before officially booking a trip.

[9] And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. [10] And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. Revelation 11:9-10
I have quoted that verse different times when discussing the metaverse, as when I first heard of the metaverse, this passage immediately came to mind; as the metaverse, the way it is being touted, certainly adds clarity to that passage.
The masses, by 2030, will be literally plugged into the smart grids, have their conscience “turned off,” and eventually taking the mark of the beast (Revelation 13:16-18), packed in tightly like sardines in the smart cities where they will “own nothing and be happy” – living out their fake and artificial lives inside the “deadverse.”

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).
