According to a newly released study from the University of Virginia, from 2015-2020 children ranging 6-19-years-old, have seen a 26.7% rise in attempted suicides via poisoning.
Per the data reported to the National Poison Data System that marks attempts and successful deaths, the numbers rose from 75,248 in 2015 to 93,532 in 2020. 77% of those cases were comprised of girls, while all age groups saw increases, with children aged 10-12 seeing the highest increase of 109.3% in attempted suicide via poisoning.
The university notes that the number of calls to the data system have decreased overtime as well, indicating that the numbers reported are very much conservative at the minimum.
Of the data on record, 276 deaths were recorded and 14,916 cases of long-term and life-threatening disabilities and symptoms.
This data demonstrates concerning rises in cases of self-poisoning among all pediatric groups between 6 and 19 years of age, suggesting that the pediatric mental health crisis is worsening and extending into younger populations.

The two most popular methods according to the University are overdosing on over-the-counter drugs acetaminophen and ibuprofen – two popular pain relief pharmaceuticals that are easy to obtain at cheap prices at drug stores.
The impetus for our research team to perform this study was that we began to notice an increase in younger aged children attempting suicide by acute overdoses in our clinical practice at UVA Health. We were disturbed at our institutional numbers and decided to perform research on the national numbers which confirmed that this increase was not just a local issue, but a national issue.
We need to be vigilant for the warning signs associated with suicide risk in our children. Our study is one of a number that demonstrates that we are experiencing an unprecedented mental health crisis in younger age groups. As a society, we must commit more resources to the mental health needs of our children.

On the back on this news, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) also released a warning that children are also overdosing on melatonin supplements.
According to their data, the CDC reports a 530% increase of melatonin overdoses in the last decade. Their ‘report found pediatric melatonin ingestions reported to poison control centers rose from about 8,000 in 2012 to 52,000 in 2021. The largest yearly increase occurred between 2019 to 2020,’ Insider detailed.
The majority calls to these poison control centers note that they were unintentional overdoses in boys under 5-years-old, and were dealt with at home.
The CDC says two children have died in the last decade due to these overdoses. Moreover 27,000 children have been admitted to medical facilities due to these overdoses.
Melatonin is a naturally occurring hormone the body creates via the pineal gland in the brain, which helps to regulate stress, sleep, and reducing oxidative stress, among other functions. Modern technologies such as blue light illuminated from smart devices and higher levels of EMFs can mess up the natural production of melatonin, causing irregular sleep and creating more stress.
It has also been reported that taking aforementioned drugs like acetaminophen can also cause melatonin disruptions and deficiencies.
The lockdowns that began in 2020 were the catalyst for a rapid rise in melatonin sales and overdoses, to the tune $825 million on supplements, representing a 42.6% year-over-year increase. Melatonin supplements are also being formulated into gummies designed for children to consume.
I’m also an ICU doctor and I end up seeing a lot of poisonings in my practice, and in general, I’ve not seen a whole lot of melatonin overdose [in adults], but in children I can easily imagine. Even a small overdose can cause a lot of problems.

The media of course does not attribute the intense and ridiculousness of the lockdowns, masking, and social distancing, but to Covid. Teach your children that we are pilgrims & that our hope is not in this world or life, and to be grateful for God’s provision, teaching them of the amazing, intricate & sustaining things that God has built into even the simplest things concerning our bodies & food. Teach them to be wise about foods, including those containing melatonin which is important for proper rest and quelling inflammation, supporting the immune system in their promotion of purposeful ill-health & death to the end of merchandising people as Revelation 18 and devilish, antichrist beast system control.

The food with the highest levels of melatonin are tart cherries, & you can’t overdose on those: you’ll vomit first. Just like honey. Grass-fed eggs, whole & unprocessed milk w/ enzymes etc intact, clean fish (and especially oily high omega-3 fish like sardines or salmon), and nuts are all high in melatonin.

Exercise your faith as you are going & plant a cherry tree, or several, if you have the space& means, or even know of a public common space you might insert some into & watch: planned forage. Wild cherry is useful in moderation, but is hard to forage since they’re so tiny and seedy, and have sedating properties, along with wild cherry bark. (That’s why it’s used in old-time cough remedies.) My dad used to make us walk the perimeter of our pastures & cut back or throw out any fallen wild cherry branches with the leaves still on them to keep the cattle from eating them.

You could get some quail or chickens going….and if you opt for quail which can be raised even in apartments or garages with a fast turnaround of nutrient rich, quality protein AND eggs…..be sure to forage for greens to add to their diet. Before that I didn’t know who Jacob was, that this ministry existed, and I didn’t know anything about that other guy.
