Unbeknownst to many, the House of Representatives quietly voted 420-1 on Wednesday the 18th, to pass to a bill that takes another swipe at free speech and further inhibits internet and social media censorship, as the bill does so under the guise of wrangling in antisemitism.

The WinePress reported a couple of weeks ago that antisemitic hate and attacks reportedly grew by a wide margin in 2021. These same statistics are referenced in the House’s latest bill, H.RES.1125. – sponsored by Florida Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D) and written by the Anti-Defamation League.

In an attempt to limit the spread of Jewish hate and violence, the bill seeks to:

[Call upon] elected officials, faith leaders, and civil society leaders to use their bully pulpit to condemn and combat any and all manifestations of antisemitism;

Calls on elected officials to condemn and combat any and all denials and distortions of the Holocaust and to promote Holocaust and antisemitism education;

Calls for amplifying and ensuring United States leadership to fight global antisemitism, working with the Department of State’s Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism and intensifying cooperation with international governments and parliaments around the world;

Works in tandem with the cross-party Inter-Parliamentary Task Force to Combat Online Antisemitism to help craft thoughtful global initiatives designed to address online antisemitism;

Calls on social media platforms to institute stronger and more significant efforts to measure and address online antisemitism while protecting free speech concerns;

Takes all possible steps to improve the physical security of Jewish institutions and organizations, including by using existing tools such as increasing funding for the Nonprofit Security Grant Program of the Department of Homeland Security to keep at-risk houses of worship, schools, and community centers safe from terrorist attacks and other forms of antisemitic violence;

The bill reads, along with a couple of other new protections

Per the wording of this bill, the legislature would also now further increase the state and federal government’s reach in churches and places of worship – something The WP has detailed in other reports, discussing just how controlled American church buildings and religious facilities really are:

Churches Are Being Paid By The Government To Impose Vaccination On Their Congregations

Kentucky Representative Thomas Massie (R) (though is considered to lean more Libertarian in his policies) was the lone wolf who voted against this bill. Massie was panned on social media when news quickly spread that he did not support this bill. Massie explained in a series of posts on social media that he is most certainly not antisemetic or racist in any fashion, but voted against the bill because he felt it blatantly infringed on American’s First Amendment rights to freedom of speech and the press.

I don’t hate anyone based on his or her ethnicity or religion. Legitimate government exists, in part, to punish those who commit unprovoked violence against others, but government can’t legislate thought. This bill promoted internet censorship and violations of the 1st amendment.

Massie said

One Twitter user agreeing with Massie who said, “Most of these bills are just for virtue signaling and don’t do anything.”

Jewish organizations immediately pounced on Massie, blasting him as an antisemite.

In 2012 Haaretz reported that Jewish groups get 97% of of Homeland Security’s Vital Nonprofit Security Grants.

Information Liberation reported, ‘the Biden regime is currently asking for $360 million in funding for the aforementioned Nonprofit Security Grant Program and the ADL is leading the charge to get it passed.’

And even though Massie has been facing a lot of heat lately, Information Liberation also noted, ‘Massie easily secured a victory in the Republican primary on Tuesday with 75% of the vote and is likely going to sail to victory again during the general election in November.’

Massie is no stranger to controversy. One such example occurred in March 2020 when Congress was trying to rush the $6.2 trillion CARES Act out the door at lightening speeds, but Massie solely was able to delay the package’s passage. The bill had passed 96-0 in the Senate, and Congress was going to submit their votes remotely, whereas Massie wanted the vote to take place in person. He furthered explained his position in a series of tweets:

In the end it failed, and the bill still passed with members of the House voting remotely, This caused President Donald Trump to call Massie a “third rate grandstander,” and said,

Workers & small businesses need money now in order to survive. Virus wasn’t their fault. It is “HELL” dealing with the Dems, had to give up some stupid things in order to get the “big picture” done. 90% GREAT! WIN BACK HOUSE, but throw Massie out of Republican Party!

Trump said in a tweet

The Cincinnati Enquirer once described Massie as an “Inventor. Blogger. Father. Off-the-grid farmer. Believer in the “deep state” and raw milk.”

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged.

Proverbs 28:2

I am not for or against Massie (especially since he is not even in my state), but this report signifies once again why I continually have said that your vote really does not even matter. Right or Left, if you pay attention, you’ll notice that these two parties always work in unison to oppress the people even further.

I too am not antisemitic in the slightest, and have even been attacked and ostracized for standing up for the nation of Israel and the Hebrews – as the scriptures are very explicit in saying that the Hebrews are God’s chosen people and nation that he has made everlasting covenants with them (not to mention the fact that my Savior was a Jew from the tribe of Judah), and that the Lord said he’d bring them back into their land in unbelief, and will eventually save them (Ezekiel 36; Romans 11).

As noted in this report, I also agree that this bill is just more virtue-signaling, and will do nothing to stop Jewish bigotry and violence; but will be used as yet another proxy to censor the people, stripping away more of our rights and freedoms. And yet hardly anyone will notice or care – the same vegetables that bought the Covid war and have bought the Russia-Ukraine war.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).
