The tattoo could store medical and sports data, ‘with which it will be possible to prevent and control diseases, as well as improve physical and sports performance by means of vital signs,’ the outlet said.
Though these tattoos are still being developed, what has currently been revealed is they are temporarily applied to the surface of the skin, with trackers and sensors attached to it that transmits data per special ink that conducts electricity.
Gates purportedly sees this type of technology as a way to ultimately phase out the smart phone. It would first be used to receive/send message or lookup addresses. There currently is no timeline for the release of this tattoo, Gates and his team is reportedly working on to bring it into fruition.
