Jacinda Ardern Says She Hates Vaccine Mandates But Explains She Had To Do It Anyways

In order to prevent long-term Covid restrictions, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern stated in a recent interview that she had to implement vaccine mandates though she claims she never was or is a fan of them.

Ardern explained this in a long sit-down interview with 1News in the Kiwi nation, where she claims that she was reluctant to implement these measures, but did so regardless, according to health advice she was given.

I still don’t [want vaccine mandates]. I did [change my tune]. They weren’t something I wanted us to have to use but I think it’s easy to forget where we were.

Furthermore, according to the Daily Mail, Ardern added:

The choice started to become keep people with a blanket of restrictions for a longer period of time or use vaccine passes to enable greater freedoms for people.

During this interview, she also took time to address some of the protests that occurred, inspired by the Canadian truckers in February and March, calling the protestors “Trump supporters” and “anti-vaxxers.”

And leading off from that statement, even though Ardern claims she doesn’t the vax mandates, she said in the same interview:

The vaccine campaign was around keeping people safe.

Furthermore, responding to the claims of those still holding out and refusing to get inoculated, citing the side-effects and adverse reactions they are creating, Ardern stated also:

If it were able to have every medical treatment with zero side effects, what a world it would be.

While Boris Johnson and the U.K. government will not rule out new lockdowns and are currently funding a new official vaccine passport; Ardern, at the moment, announced that restrictions would slowly but surely be removed little by little, and no longer requiring vaccine passports and QR code checks for the time being last week.

More people can gather now at different events, and vaccine mandates currently only affect health and elder care staff, corrections staff, and border employees.

Give it a few more weeks or less, but the heavy lockdowns and mandates will come back. But I don’t think that’ll be much of a shock to you Kiwis. This is the same ditz who locked the nation down over a lone case of the Convid-19.
