A day after Russia made the decision to recognize the two Ukrainian states of Donetsk and Lugansk as independent, the United State is now placing new restrictions on Russia in response.
President Biden in a statement in the media today, said that Russia’s recognition of Donetsk and Lugansk is “setting up a rationale to take more territory by force,” and that Russia’s movement of troops and equipment signals what looks to be a massive invasion force.
Biden says these moves are “totally defensive moves on our part.” If Russia reportedly does more to posture an invasion, or outright do it, then even more sanctions will be laid.
Who in the Lord’s name does Putin think gives him the right to declare new so-called ‘countries’ on territory that belonged to his neighbors?
Biden said
On top of this, it was also announced that more American troops would be sent to nearby regions, and U.S. allied military forces in Europe will be maneuvered into Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
According to RT, ‘The Pentagon reportedly said 800 soldiers will be moved to the Baltic region from Italy, while eight F-35 jets will be shifted to Eastern Europe from Germany. In addition, 32 Apache helicopters will be moved to Poland from Germany and Greece.’
But at the same time, Russia is also maneuvering more troops and guided-missile cruise ships along the Black and Mediterranean seas. You can read more about that here.
Zelensky Responds
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky responded to Russia’s move to acknowldge the separatist states.
For us, there is no alternative to ending the war. I am ready to do this either in a bilateral format or with the participation of other leaders.
Today there is no need for general mobilization.
Rather, Zelensky ordered for more operational reserves be put in place, for a limited time, to increase the preparedness of the Ukrainian army.
“Territorial defense” forces will also be exercised, and that training will also take place in the near future.
He also called for “a program of economic patriotism,” by strengthening the economy to therefore increase the power of the military. Taxes will be reduced and inspections will be scaled back, as the nation will encourage companies manufacturing and other industries to stay in the territories.
Our goal is to gain economic independence, especially in energy.
Trump Praises Putin
In a surprise to some, former President Trump said that Russian President Vladimir Putin is a “genius.”
I went in yesterday, and there was a television screen, and I said, ‘This is genius.’ Putin declares a big portion of the Ukraine – of Ukraine — Putin declares it as independent.
Here’s a guy who’s very savvy, I know him very well…
Here’s a guy that says, ‘You know, I’m going declare a big portion of Ukraine independent’ he used the word ‘independent.’ ‘And we’re going to go out, and we’re going to go in, and we’re going to help keep peace.’
Trump told radio host Buck Sexton
Follow The Money
In like other WinePress reports, we have emphasized the importance of following the money trail. In one of these recent reports, we noted that a potential important factor that was being ignored in the mainstream media was the Nord Stream II natural gas pipeline; that starts in Russia, flows through the Ukraine, and into Germany.
Today it was announced that Germany would be officially cutting off the plans to transport the gas.
It is important to launch new sanctions now in order to prevent an escalation and a disaster.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said Tuesday in announcing a move to prevent the pipeline’s certification.
European policymakers saw Nord Stream 2 as a vital tool in easing the pressure on consumers already facing record energy prices.
Even if President Putin has pledged that Russia will not interrupt its natural gas supplies, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Lithuania, Finland, Austria all depend on Russian natural gas imports for between 50 and 100 percent. Germany, for example, imports half of its natural gas demand from Russia and has consistently argued that Nord Stream 2 is vital to diversify energy supplies to Europe.
Nicola De Blasio, a senior fellow in the Environment and Natural Resources Program at Harvard’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, told The Hill.

The Russia-Ukraine Propaganda Continues. It’s More Hype
The Russia-Ukraine Propaganda Continues, But Still No Invasion. Media Spreads Fear Of Nuclear
[6] And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. [7] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. [8] All these are the beginning of sorrows.Matthew 24:6-8
Though it is getting little recognition, the fact that Germany is cutting off plans to receive the natural gas flow from Russia will only make the energy problems for Europe even worse. Granted, the pipeline was not officially pumping gas yet, but as energy costs continue to rocket higher, this decision will only worsen things unless they are resolved.
As noted in other reports concerning this; war is a racket: follow the money trail. This whole thing is a massive arms deal, as shown in yesterday’s report, and something I was saying from the get-go.
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).
