World-renowned social philosopher and the bestselling author of the book “Sapiens,” Yuval Harari is sounding the alarm that artificial intelligence needs to be regulated very soon, otherwise mankind will be “hacked” like a computer.
Harari told CBS’ 60 Minutes that he is calling upon the government and world leaders to begin mitigating AI and data collections provided by large companies, or he fears the blistering speed of AI integration will lead to “hacked humans.”
And at the core of his plight are the worrisome moves by many companies to require large amounts of personal and private data to use the product or service. He feels these companies do not have the customer’s best interest in mind.
To hack a human being is to get to know that person better than they know themselves. And based on that, to increasingly manipulate you.
Netflix tells us what to watch and Amazon tells us what to buy. Eventually within 10 or 20 or 30 years such algorithms could also tell you what to study at college and where to work and whom to marry and even whom to vote for.
Certainly, now we are at the point when we need global cooperation. You cannot regulate the explosive power of artificial intelligence on a national level.
He further asserts that having everyone’s data all in one concentrated place is “a recipe for disaster.”
Unfortunately for Harari, his pleas may go unanswered. As an example, The WinePress reported in mid-June that the United States government allowed the collection of American’s private data to be handed over to AI developers.

The media must be trying to beget new means of control and panic, even though it is LONG too late to reel in these big-tech companies. Just like the banks, big pharma, big oil, big ag, and all the other plethora of bigs; the ‘technocrats’ also get to pull many of the strings because they own the tech, practically everyone uses their services and products, therefore they have massive leverage.
I suspect that with the artificial collapse of the grid and internet systems on the horizon, after the world governments create the problem, they will swoop in with their new system and new “regulation,” so it does not ‘happen again.’ Especially when this guy says the world governments need to uniformly do this. One world government in other words.
