Fauci Now Advocates Local Vaxx Mandates. California Mandates Jab For Teachers

Dr. Anthony Fauci recently spoke on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” explaining that the severity of the Delta is so great, that he is now in favor mandatory vaccination in more localized settings, such as teachers and school staff.

I’m going to upset some people on this, but I think we should [have vaccine mandates for teachers]. We are in a critical situation now. We’ve had 615,000+ deaths and we are in a major surge now as we’re going into the fall, into the school season.

This is very serious business. You would wish that people would see why it’s so important to get vaccinated. But you’re not going to get mandates centrally from the federal government.

[There should be local mandates] for schools, for teachers, for universities, for colleges.

I’m sorry, I mean I know people must like to have their individual freedom and not be told to do something, but I think we’re in such a serious situation now, that under certain circumstances, mandates should be done.

In the wake of Fauci’s recommendation, California Governor Gavin Newsom has mandated that all California school teachers and staff get vaccinated, or submit to weekly testing.

According to CNN, this is the first state to mandate the vaccines for schools.

To give parents confidence that their children are safe as schools return to full, in-person learning, we are urging all school staff to get vaccinated. Vaccinations are how we will end this pandemic.

We think this is the right thing to do. We think this is a sustainable way to keeping our schools open and to address the number one anxiety that parents like myself have for young children, and that is knowing that the schools are doing everything in their power to keep our kids safe.

Gavin Newsom said in a statement

Moreover, 550,000 Californian teachers and school employees apart of two teacher’s unions support the mandate.

This edict takes effect today and all schools must be in full compliance by October 15th. The staff must provide proof of vaccination of be subjected to testing at least once week.

‘School districts in San Francisco, Oakland, Sacramento, and Long Beach have already implemented such a measure. The state’s largest school district, Los Angeles Unified, has required weekly Covid testing, but stopped short of mandating educators be vaccinated,’ according to the CNN report.

We know that vaccines are the single most important tool for us confronting Covid and protecting people.

[This is an] appropriate next step to ensure the safety of our school communities and to protect our youngest learners under 12 who are not yet vaccine eligible from this highly contagious Delta variant.

Over 90% of the American Federation of Teachers have been fully vaccinated.

And the craziest part of this, though not surprising, is the fact that the teachers are FOR the mandates.

And once the FDA gives their rushed approval more conservatives will start to take the vaccine; and as Fauci has been alluding to in the media, more local mandates will arise.
