According to a recent review presented by Johns Hopkins University statistics, Peru’s Covid death rate has now doubled, now having the world’s highest death rate per capita.
According to a BBC report, Peru, a nation of 33 million people, now records an official death rate of over 180,000 people, up from the previous 69,342.
‘Prime Minister Violeta Bermudez said the number was increased on the advice of Peruvian and international experts. This was in line with so-called excess deaths figures. says the BBC report,’ says the BBC report.
The report explains that excess deaths are a measure of the number of more people that are dying than would be expected on the previous few years.

According to the report, a total of over 1.9 million infections have been recorded to date. They note that Peru has been one of the worst-hit countries in South America, which has resulted in a healthcare system that has struggled to deal with the infections, and a lack of oxygen tanks.
We believe this occurs because our health system does not have the necessary conditions to care for patients.
There has been no government support with oxygen, with intensive care beds. We do not have enough vaccines at the moment. The first line of care has not been reactivated. All this makes us the first country in the world in mortality.

The BBC report says the experts have criticized Peru’s testing measures, lacking the ability to preform more molecular tests, ‘the most reliable type.’
In the early days of the pandemic, Peru purchased cheap Chinese tests that are designed to test virus antibodies, not actual active cases, according to the Associated Press.
‘The criteria for recording Covid deaths has now been broadened beyond people who tested positive for the virus to include “probable” cases – those with “an epidemiological link to a confirmed case” or who present “a clinical picture compatible with the disease,”‘ says the BBC report.

To summarize the report: Peru’s death rate was not high enough for the elites, so now, they decided to just reconfigure the numbers to make it seem like more people are dying when they are not.
This is proof-positive evidence that further demonstrates that the Covid cases (which the term has been hijacked to mean someone who tests positive, versus the disease itself) and death rates, are simply just mere numbers on a screen that can be skewed at anyone’s discretion.
