Krispy Kreme is sharing some sweetness as the U.S. continues to rollout vaccines.
Starting Monday, anyone who shows a COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card at participating locations will receive a free Original Glazed® doughnut, the chain announced.
To be eligible, guests must have received at least one or two shots of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine or one shot of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.
Guests must also show their vaccination card — a vaccine sticker does not qualify.
Krispy Kreme will not document or take pictures of guests’ cards, as it contains personal information.
Each individual is eligible for one free doughnut per day, no purchase required. Guests cannot redeem a free doughnut on behalf of family or friends.

Sorry everyone, I am going to have to go against my convictions and own advice here; I just can’t pass up the incentive of a lifetime to get one free soggy doughnut if I get vaccinated. Wish me luck!
All sarcasm aside, how stupid is this stuff? While this “reward” is lightweight and more comical than anything else, be on the lookout for more ‘heftier’ things such as this to appear more frequently. These little actions right now are there to subtly court and entice the masses to accept the idea of getting vaccinated. First, it’s poison pastries, then it will evolve into entrance into grocery stores, restaurants, hotels, theme parks, public transportation (which is pretty much already in place), and will probably eventually turn into a new sticker on our licenses.
