Today the Vatican made a decree that the Roman Catholic Church cannot bless same-sex unions stating that God “does not and cannot bless sin,” according to a report by the AP.
The report says, The Vatican’s orthodoxy office, the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, issued a formal response Monday to a question about whether Catholic clergy can bless gay unions.
Contained in the two-page decree publicized in seven languages with approval from Pope Francis, says the answer is “negative.”
The decree differentiates the Vatican’s approval and welcoming of those that are of the LGTBQ+ community, which the document continues to uphold from prior decrees, but according to the report, sodomite unions are not upheld ‘since any such sacramental recognition could be confused with marriage.’
The Vatican decrees that sodomites are to be treated with ‘dignity and respect,’ but also state that gay sex is “intrinsically disordered.”
The document makes it clear that Catholicism holds that marriages are to be between a man and a woman in holy matrimony in order to create life. Since sodomites go against this, they will not give their official blessing.
The presence in such relationships of positive elements, which are in themselves to be valued and appreciated, cannot justify these relationships and render them legitimate objects of an ecclesial blessing, since the positive elements exist within the context of a union not ordered to the Creator’s plan.
[God] does not and cannot bless sin: He blesses sinful man, so that he may recognize that he is part of his plan of love and allow himself to be changed by him.Part of the decree
Francis has endorsed providing gay couples with legal protections in same-sex unions, but that is in reference to the civil sphere, not within the church. Those comments were made during an interview with a Mexican broadcaster, Televisa, in 2019, but were cut by the Vatican until they appeared in a documentary last year, says the AP report.
The decree additionally noted,
The negative judgment on the blessing of unions of persons of the same sex does not imply a judgment on persons.
The report also states, It explained the rationale for forbidding a blessing of such unions, noting that any union that involves sexual activity outside of marriage cannot be blessed because it is not in a state of grace, or “ordered to both receive and express the good that is pronounced and given by the blessing.”
And it added that blessing a same-sex union could give the impression of a sort of sacramental equivalence to marriage. “This would be erroneous and misleading,” the article said.
AUTHOR COMMENTARY
[4] And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: [5] And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. [18] And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.Revelation 17:4-5, 18
[24] Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: [25] Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. [26] For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: [27] And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.Romans 1:24-27
If you are familiar with Roman Catholicism’s teachings and decrees, then you know this the typical standard operating Jesuitical-political double-think procedure.
I do not think I need to highlight the obvious hypocrisy within their own decree. So “the church” is to be inclusive and accepting of sodomites, but only when they get married and commit fornication – that is sin? The scriptures are very clear, even in some of the catholic bibles, that sodomy is sin and is an abomination in God’s sight. I guess we are to assume that someone can be a sodomite but he/she has no physical relations with someone else of the same gender, and that is “ok?” See what I am saying? The hypocrisy here is just ridiculous.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness.
Matthew 23:27
But pay no attention to the endless child molestations, raped nuns, and secret abortions committed by the clergymen…
And even with the support of civil unions in the secular sense, that still goes against what the Vatican declared in previous years.
If you a Roman Catholic, understand that The WinePress does not hate you; but you must understand that your religion is a lie, and you must be truly be born again.
There are many words and short phrases to desribe Roman Catholicism, and one of the best is this: a religion of hypocrites. As I said previously, pay no attention to the atrocities these priests commit, along with their drunkenness’, gambling, gluttony, wealth at the expense of the poor, and so on. So the congregants who have to get their sins confessed to the priest know they can pray away all their iniquities on a Sunday and have their priest look the other way. If the priest has the power to forgive sins (which he doesn’t) and he commits all these sins while being God’s mouthpiece (which he is not), then why should the congregation live any better? This enables the masses in the pews to pretend and lie to themselves thinking they are living righteously by playing religion, but are the biggest hypocrites walking.
[26] If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain. [27] Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.James 1:26-27
