According to The Land Report, Bill Gates now owns land in 19 states across the country. Roughly 242,000 acres of farmland and 27,000 acres of other land. The grand total is reported to be 268,984 acres.
Gates owns the greatest amount of land in Louisiana and Arkansas, 69,071 and 47,927 acres.
He owns about 16,000 acres in his home state of Washington.
Gates’ land is directly and indirectly owned by Cascade Investment, a company that Gates set up in order to manage his massive fortune.
In 2017 Bill Gates purchased large chunks of land in Arizona, which he claimed was to build an entire community there – a smart city to be more exact.
