Why Was The WinePress Started?
Jesus said in John 8:32, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” There is such an absolute dearth of truth in the world today. Many Christian news websites and channels are not willing to report on the whole truth; thereby many of its viewers are left are in the dark. The WinePress was created to help present the facts and the truth to those that what it. The WinePress will contend for the truth, regardless of whom it offends.
Is The WinePress A Non-Profit Organization?
The WinePress is NOT a government-controlled corporation, nor will it ever be. The WinePress is NOT a part of the public sector. We believe in total separation of church and state. No government has the right to enforce legislature on the rights of speech and faith. By registering with the government in any fashion, the government would then have legal incentive to control and censor us. The Government is to serve the people, not the other way around. The WinePress is funded by the brethren, for the brethren.
What Does The Name Mean?
The WinePress gets its name from prophetic references in the scriptures related to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ’s return at the battle of Armageddon (Isa 63; Rev 14:13-20, 19:11-21). It also serves as a name that presents itself as a Christian news website.
