‘”It is adapt or die,” says the Environment Agency, as the new technology outputs “could not be more timely” to alleviate these problems.

As the COP26 climate emergency summit continues forth, a tech group that specializes in artificial intelligence and smart city integration, is expressing their ideas for overhauling the current grid system with something much more interconnected and deeply monitored.

The National Digital Twin programme (NDTp) have launched a short film and interactive app to demonstrate the important reasons why the current systems need to be vastly overhauled with digital twins technology to mitigate the effects of climate change.

To better understand what digital twins technology represents, watch the short explanation below, and/or read a WinePress report on how this tech is being used for aspects of the coming 6G future.

NDTp partnered with the Climate Resilience Demonstrator (CReDo) to produce their short film titled Tomorrow Today, which “tells the story of how connected digital twins can help us increase resilience across our infrastructure. Now it’s your turn to use connected digital twins to collaborate, enable adaptation and increase resilience with our interactive app…”

‘The interactive app, developed by the NDTp together with Esri UK and in partnership with Mott MacDonald, introduces the fictional Sunford City. The city experiences a series of severe storms, driven by climate change, that cause a cascade of emergencies across the city and hamper the ability of utility networks to recover,’ explains Smart Cities World.

The interactive app allows users to play around with different scenarios in this fictious city with isolated digital twins, versus connected digital twins, and those outcomes as to what would better fortify the city. This simulation is designed to demonstrate how the role of digital twins in cities of the future are necessary.

Following the recent statement from the Environment Agency that ‘It is adapt or die’ when it comes to climate-driven flooding, CReDo’s outputs could not be more timely.

Sarah Hayes, the CReDo project’s lead and author of the report, Data for the Public Good.

As for the short theatrical film with famous actors from the U.K. participating, the film is described as:

Directed by BAFTA winning director Colin O’Toole (Cowboy Dave, 2018), Tomorrow Today tells the story of Arthur and his grandson Jack facing the unprecedented Storm Ruby, which has the potential to knock out multiple utility services and threaten lives. It demonstrates the importance of collaborating through connected digital twins to adapting to the climate emergency.

During this storm, Jack leaves his grandfather’s side to go take care of some business. But before that, Jack was nervous that the storm would cause major problems to the grid from things he had heard, and because of climate change. Arthur, who needed an electric oxygen tank to keep him breathing normally, denied these fears.

Not long after Jack left the home, the power went out and Arthur could no longer get his oxygen, putting him into panic mode rather quickly. As he slowly went to the basement to try flip the power back on, he suffocated on the basement floor as water from massive flooding began to seep in.

While these events transpired, the character of Clara – an operator for NDTp – spoke to another man (David) over the phone about the necessity of getting the digital twins systems installed soon.

Clara: Like I said before, we need to create a digital twin of the whole network to identify possible failures across the system. We need all the utilities to participate.

This is about keeping the power on and services running through extreme weather events. We got the tech, we just need to share data across our organisations.

David: I absolutely understand, but you requested confidential asset data from us. Data licensing processes are complex. {The power then suddenly shuts off at the end of the sentence}

We currently have our own emergency systems in place anyway. We are taking responsibility for this.

Clara: Look, for this to work, we need to connect the entire system together. Not only is this about businesses and services staying online, it’s a matter of life and death – it’s that critical.

[…]

Narrator: We are in a climate emergency, and it affects all of us, especially the most vulnerable. But, all is not lost if we adapt now and make better climate resilience decisions.

The National Digital Twins Programme is developing a connected digital twin called CReDo, which is making connections across our utility networks in a way that could save lives in the future.

But this will only happen if we share data between organisations. Collaboration is key tackling climate change. We must act now.

Esri UK is proud to be working with the CReDo project to highlight the essential role of connected digital twins in understanding and mitigating the climate crisis.

Geospatial technology is foundational for linking disparate digital twins, helping understanding of climate data and enabling organisations to collaborate on complex projects. We believe that the film and demonstrator app will have a significant impact on delegates at Cop26.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.

Zephaniah 3:8

So, if you thought one smart stupid city was bad enough, now we need to connect the grids, give up all your personal and private data, so we can stop this “climate emergency” – that is about as real as that propaganda movie itself.

As I have said many times, just like with this Covid scamdemic and how it is not about a virus, this climate crap is all about controlling the masses down to every last little movement and thought. This is why these wicked technocrats and globalists what it so badly.

Here’s a slogan for you: Build Back Backwards. As the old saying goes, “If ain’t broke don’t fix it.” What was wrong with the old ways, when people were exponentially happier and healthier? – oh wait, never mind…

Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

I further suspect that this metaverse garbage and coming social credit scores will be integrated as well, to make sure everyone is being a good little drone – as they slowly rot away and die from all these green initiatives.
