The following report is from Study Finds:
Most articles focusing on air pollution speak on outdoor smog. Unfortunately, a new and unsettling study reports the air we breathe in our homes, schools, offices, and local stores may contain excessive levels of harmful chemicals known as PFAS.
For reference, PFAS are a group of manmade chemicals in water, heat, and stain-resistant products for decades. PFAS are good at what they do, and thus utilized across countless industries. That includes foods packaged in PFAS-containing materials, exposed drinking water, clothes, paints, and carpeting just to name a few examples.
What makes PFAS so harmful is the fact that they don’t break down. So, whenever an animal or human comes into contact with one of these “forever chemicals,” it sticks with the body for the long haul. This can lead to the buildup of more and more PFAS over time. Scientists add that PFAS also have a link to a number of health conditions including cancer, liver disease, and birth defects.
Where Are Forever Chemicals Coming From Indoors?
Study authors developed a new way to measure PFAS levels within indoor settings, and subsequent tests produced worrying results. The team detected PFAS in the air of homes, kindergarten classrooms, university offices, and laboratories. In some cases, indoor PFAS levels even exceeded measurements at an outdoor clothing company and carpet stores selling PFAS-treated products.
Food and water are known to be major sources of PFAS exposure. Our study shows that indoor air, including dust, is another source of exposure to potentially harmful forever chemicals. In fact, for children in homes or schools with old PFAS-treated carpets, inhalation may be even more important than dust as an exposure pathway to volatile PFAS that eventually could biotransform to more persistent and harmful PFAS.
Senior study author Rainer Lohmann, professor of oceanography at the University of Rhode Island
Researchers theorize that PFAS break away from household items and goods, going on to linger in the air where they may breathed in eventually.
No Avoiding Chemical Exposure?
Study authors placed polyethylene sheet samplers on the ceilings of tested environments, which allowed them to assess PFAS levels. In all, nine carpeted kindergarten classrooms, one home, and the storage room of an outdoor clothing store were all tested in California, as well as two laboratories, five offices, one classroom, one storage room, one elevator at the University of Rhode Island, and two carpet stores, all located within Rhode Island. The findings reveal that PFAS were present in nearly all tested locations.
Notably, many tested kindergarten classrooms and university rooms actually showed higher PFAS levels than the storage room of an outdoor clothing store full of jackets and gear treated with PFAS. Overall, the highest PFAS concentrations appeared in the two carpet stores.
PFAS were formerly used as stain and water repellents in most carpets. Fortunately, major retailers including The Home Depot and Lowe’s now only sell PFAS-free carpets. We believe that slowly smaller retailers will do so as well.
Lead study author Maya Morales-McDevitt.
The first step to reducing PFAS levels indoors is to replace old carpeting. However, PFAS are still rampant in many other products such as shoes, clothes, and various indoor furnishings.
As long as they continue to be used in products, we’ll all be eating, drinking, and breathing PFAS. We need to turn off the tap and stop all unnecessary uses of PFAS as soon as possible.
Study co-author Tom Bruton, senior scientist at the Green Science Policy Institute
The findings appear in the journal Environmental Science & Technology Letters.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY
Of course, you’ll never see this discussed on mainstream media: not one bit. But what you will hear is more Covid fear porn, for a virus that doesn’t even exist.
I guess this is what progress is supposed to look like…
Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
Jeremiah 6:16
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

Sigh. And, another perspective on this to consider.
Many of us are by-passing the cheap, thin, immodest & ridiculously priced clothing & household items through resale shops. While thankful for this information, & noting that it’s something that I’ve been watching for some time & take into consideration when making purchasing decisions….it is also a trade-off with at least some solutions involving ventilation, air filters, routine internal bodily cleanses & careful nutrition, windows that actually open top & bottom for circulation, & being outside daily in fresh air & sunshine. The old-timers would ‘air out’ their houses, & sleep with windows cracked open even when it was freezing outside, that’s why there was the spring cleaning tradition, too. Coal and wood fired furnaces & fireplaces weren’t exactly clean, or fail-safe, and a lot of the prevalence of illnesses like tuberculosis, diptheria, cholera, typhoid had to do with that & lack of access to clean water, adequate sewage sanitation etc. Fire was a real terror, and even in its proper place, the whole household had to be on its guard with crawling infants & toddlers still unaware of cause & effect. Mothers used to intentionally burn their infants’ hands in the fireplace or on a hot stove to instill a fearful respect, to keep them from crawling into an open fireplace or being more severely burned, because it was a common, & terrible, way that many children died while hard-working, often exhausted, parents & siblings slept.
We’ve been spared and shielded from many of the hard realities and lesser-of-two-evils type of choices by advances made in times of revival & lingering biblical influence that we come to take for granted. The ‘new’ history makes sure we don’t consider the whole picture, too, since it’s all about demonizing anything good coming of Christian & biblical sources. That’s supposed to come from the ‘enlightenment’ of being freed from biblical truth bringing life, which men see as an unnecessary & irrational evil restraining their lust-fulfillment & ‘enjoyment’ of this brief life…whether that involves cornering the market, or the carnal use of any & all, or both.
Many resisted the idea of public sewers, indoor running water and so forth because of the old lingering ideas of aristocracy & nicolaitan ‘conservative’ views. Remember, the Jesuits called themselves the ‘conservatives’ of the faith in their oath. If you can get & read old diaries, newspaper accounts or books from the late nineteenth, early twentieth century, pre-psych and ‘Romanticism’ being popularized, you get more perspective.
It gets tricky expense and access wise to have real, natural wood flooring…but there are sealants & paints that are more & less dangerous. Folks used to put down the area carpets in the winter to help insulate, & roll them up & store them in the attic, basement….or even behind the sofa : – ) to make things cooler in the summer. A basement is good for that, too. Would that the global corporatists had stuck with marketing Persian rugs of natural materials, or learning the trade, rather than cornering the poppy, and the coca trades from the debauched pagan elites.
Romans 1 is so true! There is nothing wrong with a modest home, but the Great Reset promoted idea of both the fascist hypocrites who live in wealth, & the ascetic Buddhist/Hindu/shamanistic promoting types (who promote it without having a clue of the actual filth, disease, devil-possession, blood, sweat & tears etc that goes along with that in their pretty man-bun, pampered flesh, strident women heady-talking classrooms & recruiting stations where they’re taught the solution is to ‘break sh#t’ ….don’t forget: Plato, Socrates, and all those ‘masters’ were pederasts & sodomites, cronies & clinger-on’s who resented the aristocratic class THEY served) …..idea of the ‘tiny home’ and the ‘sin’ of being prepared made equal with ‘hoarding’ …. can get pretty draconian & rather like a monk’s cell requirements in a hurry.
Rather like those rent by the hour cubicles in Japan which has no Christian & biblical heritage or roots to temper the cruel, sinful tendencies of men….and an extremely high suicide rate for a reason.
We should not be like that, though if we’re FORCED to choose between that, or compromising the faith, it becomes a no-brainer. It’s coming, but we’re not quite there yet.
Part of the spiritual warfare involves countering the pagan ‘high-ground’ humanism by exposing the hypocrisies, & having a good, broad, unedited knowledge base. The humanists have done a good job of editing out the evils of non-Christian society which revolt even the unbeliever to contemplate for themselves, while romanticizing the tantalizing fleshy, feelings side.
It’s amazing to me how people think ‘karma’ is a good thing these days! ….it’s just an excuse for living any old way you want to, & with no respect to God or truth, no conviction for using & abusing others…or responsibility for alleviating suffering. Very wicked. The opposite of God’s judgment & justice which is complete in truth, holiness & mercy….and which no man ever attains, though it’s actually part of the groaning of living here still in this corruptible flesh for the redeemed. Part of the striving & warfare we long to lay down with this troublesome flesh when the Lord calls us home.
I have lived long enough in the electronic, post-biblically influenced & ridiculously politicized age to learn to always, always, always be suspect when we start hearing about ‘new studies’ like this. Why are they letting us hear about it? And why are they pretending it’s ‘new’? It’s always a mix of truth & lies, spin to get us to abandon the ‘old’ unilaterally & to embrace their ‘new’. Like they’re doing with the ‘old-school’ medicine lock and stock…what worked, what did not….what was a benefit, & what merely a wealth & power transferring scheme.
The potential for profit & fundamentally transforming not only America, but mankind himself with this CRISPR and chimera and radio-electronic controlled media & interaction & AI stuff giving the inner core seemingly limitless profit, power, & seeming escape from every moral law & God himself….or need for his fellow man: even as a slave or servant…is irresistible stuff to those who would be ‘gods’.
I would be willing to bet that they already have the ‘salvation’ solution to this ‘problem’ ready for us, and that it is going to involve getting rid of all the ‘old’ stuff (which curtails barter also & survival outside the beast system, as also sterilizing gmo pollination does), closing down shops that offer another choice as ‘dangerous’ (like those bad dairies selling non-pasteurized milk no matter HOW clean, or every option but controlled medicine & pharma)…..and leaving us ‘needing’ to buy all ‘new’ stuff from the global corporatists who want to move us to their next ‘new’ thing (let us hope that in the mercy & grace of God it is the last) ….in their great dream to make all of our choices for us, including when & how we die.
This smells like more like fear-driving steering to me. Like conditioning for the Great Reset via the all-‘Green’ or no-green route….everything instant, urgent, no time to think about it, no time to gradually usher in or transition changes & solutions freely.
Neither the communist socialist, nor the fascist socialist who screams ‘green’ and ‘recycle, reuse’ practice what they preach because it’s a means to their end, & a way of robbing & leveling all nations, taking them to a two-tiered society of elite-crony and serf/slave…..where only the ‘elite’ are the ‘elect’. And that was before CRISPR and the electronic-energy Singularity where they want to technologically steer everyone into their devil-deceived ‘samahdi’ experience, killing those who balk or hinder them, or question their ‘positive’ spin on it.
One keyword here is ‘manmade’ for certain sure. Even the best of intended ‘solutions’ can have unforeseen consequences & bring new problems….especially one-size-fits-all (because we say so, or because we corruptly finagle it….all eggs presumptuously forced into one basket….then presumptuously doled out, or not, with one hand). Ditto manmade solutions to this problem that don’t harmonize with God’s word in how we are to deal with the word, with one another, and with the world. Come soon, Lord Jesus.
