Bible prophecy continues to be fulfilled…

The move to make artificial and plant-based “meats” presses onward.

In the beginning of March, The WinePress reported that Yum! Brands (the parent company of KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, A&W, and Long John Silvers), made a deal with faux meat producer Beyond Meat to make plant-based chicken for KFC and faux sausage toppings for Pizza Hut. Their competitors, such as McDonalds, were also introducing their new McPlant Burger.

More fast-food chains have gotten in on the action as well. This includes mega-brands such as Burger King adopting their own plant-based Whopper, and the international food and water giant Nestlé joining the market too.

Fast forward to today, Beyond Meat and Pizza Hut are now teaming up once more. Pizza Hut will soon be debuting a new plant-based pepperoni, according to Yahoo Finance.

This new pizza will be available in 70 locations, which include Houston, Texas; Albany New York; Jacksonville, Florida; Columbus and Macon Georgia.

Beyond just the pizza (no pun intended), the partnership with Yum! Brands seek to create more plant-based items for their other brands over the next few years.

This is not the first time, however, Pizza Hut has offered plant-based products. In London in November of 2020, Beyond Pizza was debuted for a limited time. This marked the first time a faux-meat topping pizza was offered globally. The two options were called Beyond Italian Sausage and the Great Beyond (a veggie pizza with some crumbled up faux sausage sprinkled throughout).

The CEO of Beyond Meat explained that this new deal is a win for them, after one of their purchasers, Dunkin’ Donuts, cut them loose after a menu change to streamline the menu, under new management and private ownership.

We did see a significant reduction in distribution at Dunkin’ Brands as they rationalized their menu. We remain engaged with Dunkin’ around future innovation and collaborations and our distribution throughout their Western U.S. stores. I should note that our Breakfast Sausage Pattie continues to do extremely well in other U.S. venues, such as Peet’s and Philz Coffee among others.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

[1] Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; [2] Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; [3] Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. [4] For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: [5] For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

1 Timothy 4:1-5

The WinePress has been reporting on a TON of these developments. Bible prophecy continues to be fulfilled, and yet, the so-called prophecy and end-times ministries are silent as usual…

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • I wouldn’t think it would be too popular and what about cheese? There is nothing in the world that can replace melty mozzarella (the vegan cheeses are sad at best).

    • None of these alt-meat companies are that popular, but they are getting the masses familiar with it, and then some sort of staged event will transpire to get the masses off of the real stuff. Plus with social credit scores coming soon, that could be a way it’ll be done too.

  • I have a better solution, if they offer fake anything. Take your money someplace else. I am not saying don’t buy the fake meat (or whatever), I am saying stop doing business with them at all. Full boycott.

.\\itch – Psalms 36:5 Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

  • I find it funny that when God wanted to humiliate King Nebuchadnezzar, he sent him out into the field to “eat grass as oxen” (Daniel 4:33). So here we are now with prideful modern people. They want to get rid of the cattle because their flatulence is warming the earth, and they don’t want to eat the meat which comes from the same cattle. So God judges them by sending them “plant-based” (grass) foods to replace the meat which is needed to maintain proper health! You can’t make this stuff up! 🙂
