If you have not heard, the beautiful sounding and looking birds that God has created are dying. And not just dying, they are all dying rapidly, nor is it an isolated situation.
I first heard about this roughly a week or so ago, and I didn’t think much of it. I continued to watch the blue jays, the sparrows, the finches, the robins, and many more, eat from the bird feeder from the backyard. Now they are gone, except for one lonely dove and a hungry squirrel.
Since May and onward, local news reports all along the Midwest and moving eastward have been sounding the alarm on the large number of dying birds, and scientists have no idea what is killing them, all labeling this as a “mysterious disease.”
On July 6th, Science Magazine reported on this as well, and the scientists still cannot figure out what is happening to them. As noted in their article, the birds seem to share a reoccurring theme: crusty and oozing eye patches, instability, and being lethargic.
Reported by the Indianapolis Star as of July 15th, my home state of Indiana almost entirely has reported birds dying statewide, including my county of St. Joseph.
Popular YouTuber Jason A. recently edited together a somber video documenting numerous news outlets reporting on the death of the birds.
Yesterday, July 22nd, Elizabeth Bruenig from The Atlantic published an article titled “Then the Birds Began to Die.” Bruenig laments the death of these birds, in relation to the chaos and pandemonium that is ensuing in America and around the world. Her report conveys her pensive and dolorous feelings about this whole situation.
Then The Birds Began To Die
The following is by Elizabeth Bruenig:
After the end of the world, there will be birdsong. I used to imagine this when everything was going awry. I would lay in bed in my college dorm room and listen to the lone mockingbird who sang all night outside my window in the spring months. I was worried about something or other; he was getting on with things. It’s what birds do. They have a knack for it. In the Book of Genesis, after the devastation of the Earth by God’s cataclysmic flood, Noah releases from his ark a dove; he knows that the trial has ended when the bird does not return, having alighted somewhere out in the damp and dreary world, the first land-dwelling creature to begin the work of carrying on.
What else is there to do? When COVID-19 began to spread in the United States, late in the winter of 2020, I told myself as much. In plagues, as in life, there is a morally arbitrary hierarchy of luck, and it didn’t take long for me to realize that my family and I were among the lucky ones. I was in my late 20s, hale and hearty, my husband the same plus a couple of years. Our children were young—our baby was, in fact, under a year old, something I eventually mentioned in a meekly anxious aside to a doctor I was interviewing for a story on the emerging pandemic. He acknowledged certain risks in the way that doctors do, and then said: “Don’t worry. Kids are kicking ass with this thing.” I was both comforted and chastened; this wasn’t mine to panic about. The best I could do for those in peril was to carry on.
So I did. All of us did. The disease did indeed sweep up on us. We looked after our children while we worked from home, and assembled a stockpile of personal protective equipment beside our apartment door—adult cloth masks and child-sized ones, N95s and latex gloves, a precious few cartons of Clorox wipes and bottles of hand sanitizer. We didn’t want our older daughter to be unduly afraid, and so we told her the truth: We’ll get better if we get sick, we said. What we need to do is make sure we don’t get other people sick. That’s why we’ve got to be so careful.
At the time we lived in a co-op with mostly elderly residents, and I began to grocery shop for a few neighbors who couldn’t make use of delivery apps. I would leave their bags outside their doors and retreat to the elevator before calling to let them know, never so much as seeing a face. I had become a risk. I thought of J. Robert Oppenheimer’s selection from the Bhagavad Gita: Now I am become death, destroyer of worlds. All of us had, if we were lucky.
Death soon touched everything I wrote about, everything I thought of. I interviewed a man undergoing chemotherapy who was worried about the disease; he died less than a week after we spoke on the telephone. I visited a homeless shelter where essential workers and their children were living, terrified of what might happen to them if they kept working and certain that they could not stop. I traveled to Terre Haute, Indiana, to witness one of more than a dozen federal executions carried out by the Trump administration, several of which were, in retrospect, super-spreader events. It was surreal to watch federal agents preside so pompously over the drowning of a man in his own lung secretions knowing that plenty of prisoners in state care had already met the same end without any such sentence. What was one more?
Eventually, we got sick. My husband and I were weary and haggard for a week or so; the children never even showed symptoms. The degree of our illness was so minor compared with its worst manifestations that we said little about it to co-workers or friends or on social media. It would have been ridiculous to compare what passed through our home as a mild cold to the plague ravaging parts of the country and swaths of the world. Afterward, with the sickness itself behind us and the pandemic still raging, there was nothing to do—still nothing to do—but carry on, stoically, and pray for an end to come.
And then, from the haze, a horizon: As winter gave way to spring this year, vaccination rates picked up, hospitalizations and deaths dropped, and life as we knew it finally seemed as though it might resume. It would be a while before mask mandates would loosen and people would comfortably congregate again, but in the meantime I was impossibly reassured by the return of birdsong outside my kitchen windows. After a long, cold silence, here were birds again, living.
I have always been a bird-watcher, though my enthusiasm for them far outpaces my knowledge of them. They are the flowers of heaven, creatures of unrivaled beauty whose grace and lightness makes them as alien to the human experience as they are familiar to us. And though we imbue them with all kinds of messages—in myth and legend, they arrive as heralds of good fortune, fair weather, or freedom, as well as harbingers of doom, death, or destiny—and despite the fact that some of them, with their skill for mimicry and impeccable ears, can echo our words, they truly have nothing to say to us. They are not ours. Their world is their own. William Blake was right to observe that the soul itself seems to revolt at a bird in captivity: “A Robin Red breast in a Cage / Puts all Heaven in a Rage.”
So it is that bird-watchers are content to simply watch them; that’s enough. And I began to watch them, my heart lifting little by little, as they busily nested in the bushes and trees in my garden. Eggs appeared in nests under broad hydrangea leaves; the peanut-studded suet cakes tucked into the backyard feeder began to disappear precipitously, and the window-mounted seed feeder drew crowds of finches, robins, jays, swallows. As modest outdoor gatherings began again, I made trips to farmers’ markets on the weekends, and always picked up a pint of wild berries to leave out for the birds. They never lasted more than a day.
One afternoon in April, when the recovery seemed well under way, a shimmer in the asphalt caught my eye as I stepped out of the car upon returning home with my husband from an errand. A few paces from our front right tire, a cluster of fat bluebottle flies picked over the bones of a fledgling robin. I knelt down to get a look at him. He was smaller than an adult, but feathered, no hatchling. A midsize hedgerow in my neighbor’s yard seemed as plausible a spot as any for his nest, but it seemed impossible that he could have simply fallen. I called my husband over and motioned to our car. I think we killed him, I said. Not today, clearly, but some time ago.
That didn’t make much sense, either. Surely he would’ve flown off, my husband said. Maybe, I agreed. Maybe something else got him, left him here. Both of us knew that no self-respecting carnivore would go to the trouble of capturing a bird only to leave it altogether intact, but I already felt strange enough for being so invested in the matter, and we let it go.
A week later, I opened the garage to search for my older daughter’s scooter. In the dust on the floor were three dead starlings, their spindly nest still tucked above the garage-door operator.
Starlings are beautiful, in my view, though they’re often treated as urban pests. The dark feathers of adults gleam with a scarab-esque iridescence, dotted with scattered points of white. I thought of Clarice Starling, the protagonist of The Silence of the Lambs. In the film, Starling attempts to compose herself during a conversation with her FBI-agent mentor after he tells her Hannibal Lecter, a serial killer she recently interviewed, seems to have murdered a fellow inmate in retaliation for being rude to her. “I don’t know how to feel about this,” she says. “You don’t have to feel any way about it,” her mentor tells her. Emotion isn’t necessarily immediate. You can decline. Hadn’t I just done that for a year and a half straight?
We must have closed the garage door shortly after they nested there, I decided, starving them to death. My God, I said to myself as I stood in the dust. We killed them too.
Elsewhere in the mid-Atlantic, state wildlife agencies had begun to notice a troubling pattern: Dead birds with infected eyes, mostly jays, robins, grackles, and starlings.
David Curson, the director of bird conservation for Audubon Mid-Atlantic, told me that the earliest reports of the mysterious deaths had reached local authorities in late April, sparking investigations across the region. Researchers at the Smithsonian Institution, the U.S. Geological Survey, and several state wildlife agencies have all rushed to study infected and dead birds to pinpoint a specific cause of the illness, but so far, the responsible pathogen remains unknown.
Really there’s two symptoms. One is that these birds’ eyes are crusty, so they’re showing signs of infection around their eyes. And then there’s neurological symptoms, twitching body parts of the bird, or the whole bird twitching or showing lethargy or disorientation … And then of course, eventually they’re dying.
David Curson
Epidemics among birds are common.
Diseases circulate in wildlife populations regularly and there’s a lot of different diseases that influence birds … It’s no reason to panic just because there’s a disease in a bird population.
The alarming thing, he said, is that this sickness is yet unidentified, and that the birds themselves are so familiar.
Grackles, starlings, jays, and robins are all among the more identifiable and robust birds that gather at our feeders, each with their distinctive plumage—blue or red or oil-slick starlight or iridescent peacock-teal shading into bronze. All of them are on the larger side for songbirds, closer to the two cupped handfuls of a mourning dove than the scant palmful of a house finch. When you find them, in other words, you notice them.
Curson reiterated the advice that conservation agencies have dispensed since the onset of the epidemic.
People should take down their bird feeders. Bird feeders encourage birds to congregate, and that is going to increase the chance of transmitting and spreading this disease.
After bringing them inside, Curson suggested, people should clean their feeders with a 10% bleach solution diluted with water to kill any lingering pathogens. Thus far, this illness hasn’t spread to household pets or human beings, though Curson emphasized that cats and dogs should be kept away from bird carcasses as a precaution, and that humans handling dead birds should wear gloves and wash their hands after contact.
By the time I caught wind of the mysterious illness, it was late June, and I had already found two more dead birds. One had died in the grass near the hedges where I had found the first robin. I had told my husband about it, and about the starlings in the garage. It didn’t seem likely we had caused the death of every single one of them, he had said. But I had insisted: If their deaths weren’t related to us, something we were doing, then the whole neighborhood would be covered in dead birds. It was only when I overheard a local radio news segment about the mystery disease that I realized what it was.
So I went out on some warm evening and sent the twilight diners flying with the bang of a screen door. I took their feeder down, though I could feel them watching me curiously from the eaves. I wanted to apologize to them, as ridiculous as that sounds. I’m sorry, I imagined saying to them. I love you, but I can’t help you now, only hurt you. Eventually, the sickness will pass, and I’ll refill my bleached feeders and turn them out again, and I’ll stand at my kitchen window and watch the birds go about their business. Until then, we’ve got to carry on.
On another night, early in July, I noticed a blue jay freshly dead in a bed of creeping phlox. After some time birds look very regal in death, with their beaks turned and their wings outstretched, the arc of their shoulders framing halos around their heads. But when they first die they are as they were in life but graceless, bluntly inert. I sat down on the back porch with a garden spade in my hand after I buried him in a stretch of earth between two great tufts of pampas grass, alongside all the others. A low wind cooled the sweat at the nape of my neck. Autumn would come soon enough, and the birds would fall silent, and then what? Through the patio door, I heard a local news anchor warning of an incoming surge of Delta-variant COVID-19 cases.
Doesn’t make any sense to cry about all of this now, I thought. And as I lost the argument I had posed to myself, I thought: Oh Lord, please don’t make me do this again.
AUTHOR COMMENTARY
I am not going to get into all the different things Elizabeth said, but one thing is clear: she represents the state of the lost world that rejects Jesus Christ. The perceived peace that the world offers is not true peace at all. Only Jesus Christ can offer true and real peace.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 14:27
And yet this woman exemplifies what it means to have peace that the world offers: it’s not peace at all. It’s a life of no assurance and constant fear. I don’t say this in a bragging way, but when the Covid propaganda really kicked in, in March, it didn’t phase me and I proclaimed to my viewers on my YouTube channel that this whole [scamdemic] showed who had faith and who did not. And we see that now more than ever. People that have hope, and those that don’t.
[12] That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: [13] But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.Ephesians 2:12-13
But with that out of the way, let’s discuss the issue of these birds dying.
[7] But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee: [8] Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee. [9] Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this? [10] In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.
Job 12:7-10
The Lord’s creation is great teaching lesson, and there are things to be learned and to be perceived, as there is great wisdom that can be applied to the life of a Christian. We see all kinds of these comparisons in both testaments of the Bible. So, is there perhaps a meaning as to why all these birds are dying? I believe there is, and the King James Bible seems to give some answers why.
Now I know there are naturalists and scoffers that would say that I am overthinking this. But, as a Bible believer, I understand that the word ‘coincidence’ is nowhere to be found in the pages of scripture. Everything has a reason behind it, and God is fully aware of it.
After looking over some scriptures when learning about this “plague” among the songbirds, I believe that the Lord is sending a warning – a warning that can only be discovered from the pages of scripture.
Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.
Psalm 119:104
There are a lot of scriptures relating to birds, and different kinds of them, so I cannot go over them all, but I will discuss a few here to consider.
First things first: let me get this out of the way, lest someone try to bring this up and make a false assertion.
[11] For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; [12] The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; [13] The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.Song of Solomon 2:11-13
I see this passage quoted all the time, especially in the spring season, as being an implicit reference to the body of Christ being caught up from the earth (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15; Philippians 3:20-21, etc.), falsely so-called the “rapture.” I see this passage quoted all the time in the spring, and year over year, the rapture never comes. Could it be next spring, or spring in general? Sure: it can also be in the summer, fall, or winter. I don’t get caught up in all the monthly prognosticating that many Christians get caught up in (Isaiah 47:13; 1 Thessalonians 5:1). But I wanted to address this because I figure since this passage is a direct reference to singing birds, someone would bring this up. But since the birds are dying in the here and now, this passage would not be very befitting for the times.
Here is what I perceive the Lord is signaling to those searching out his word:
[1] Righteous art thou, O LORD, when I plead with thee: yet let me talk with thee of thy judgments: Wherefore doth the way of the wicked prosper? wherefore are all they happy that deal very treacherously? [2] Thou hast planted them, yea, they have taken root: they grow, yea, they bring forth fruit: thou art near in their mouth, and far from their reins. [3] But thou, O LORD, knowest me: thou hast seen me, and tried mine heart toward thee: pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter. [4] How long shall the land mourn, and the herbs of every field wither, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein? the beasts are consumed, and the birds; because they said, He shall not see our last end. [5] If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan? [6] For even thy brethren, and the house of thy father, even they have dealt treacherously with thee; yea, they have called a multitude after thee: believe them not, though they speak fair words unto thee. [7] I have forsaken mine house, I have left mine heritage; I have given the dearly beloved of my soul into the hand of her enemies. [8] Mine heritage is unto me as a lion in the forest; it crieth out against me: therefore have I hated it. [9] Mine heritage is unto me as a speckled bird, the birds round about are against her; come ye, assemble all the beasts of the field, come to devour. [10] Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness. [11] They have made it desolate, and being desolate it mourneth unto me; the whole land is made desolate, because no man layeth it to heart. [12] The spoilers are come upon all high places through the wilderness: for the sword of the LORD shall devour from the one end of the land even to the other end of the land: no flesh shall have peace. [13] They have sown wheat, but shall reap thorns: they have put themselves to pain, but shall not profit: and they shall be ashamed of your revenues because of the fierce anger of the LORD.Jeremiah 12:1-13
Bit of a long passage, but it illustrates what is going on in America and many other nations, but specifically America. WinePress readers know that I have been saying that the signs are everywhere, to those that are awake and know the truth: America is done. The Lord has had enough of this wicked, blasphemous, and abominable nation.
Regular readers know what I am talking about. The vaccines death shots the masses have taken are going to kill them. Thousands upon thousands are dying already, but as explained in much better detail in those reports, when the natural cold and flu season happens, the vaxxed (and those with heavy exposure to others who have been jabbed) will be falling down dead.

W.V. Governor Says A Lot Of People Will Have To Die To Convince The Vaccine Hesitant To Get Jabbed
U.S. Army Set To Rollout Mandatory Vaccines By September
Prior to the Lord revealing this information and warning to myself, and other brethren, The WinePress did a report citing predictions from a well-known military website – that had long forecast an extreme drop of the U.S. population of 70% by 2025. At the time I was not sure what specifically what would be the cause, but now, it is clear. People who voluntarily decided to get death jabbed will get what they chose to receive: death, and painfully. Once this happens, more people will rush to get vaccinated as this will be their ‘proof and coaxing to get vaxxed.’ But the system, the way I see it, will begin to breakdown, conditioned upon how many health care workers, law enforcement, military, and so on, got legitimate vaccines. I believe a “dark winter” is on the way. But I digress
Furthermore, maybe some of you may remember a report The WinePress did a while ago about a Covid propaganda film, featuring a “Covid-23:” the virus mutated into something actually deadly, martial law was enforced, and daily tracking and scanning, people thrown into death camps, and so on. What was the movie called? SONGBIRD! And the movie, from what I understand, had nothing to do with a songbird. But in light of this, perhaps this gives validity to the title of this film?
“Songbird:” The Awful Covid Propaganda Film
But you see, getting back to the birds, just as in the days leading up to the Lord’s wrath poured upon Israel for their rejection and wickedness against him, the birds were dying. And here in America, a nation whose sins are spilling out of the glass, the Lord has had enough, and he will not pity this nation. And so, just as with Israel, the beautiful songbirds are dying “mysteriously.” Yes, it is mysterious, because the Lord is causing it, and the blind and Christ-rejecting world can’t see what is happening.
But there are more scriptures than just that one in Jeremiah, lest you think I am stretching things:
[1] The word of the LORD which came unto Zephaniah the son of Cushi, the son of Gedaliah, the son of Amariah, the son of Hizkiah, in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah. [2] I will utterly consume all things from off the land, saith the LORD. [3] I will consume man and beast; I will consume the fowls of the heaven, and the fishes of the sea, and the stumblingblocks with the wicked; and I will cut off man from off the land, saith the LORD. [4] I will also stretch out mine hand upon Judah, and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and I will cut off the remnant of Baal from this place, and the name of the Chemarims with the priests; [5] And them that worship the host of heaven upon the housetops; and them that worship and that swear by the LORD, and that swear by Malcham; [6] And them that are turned back from the LORD; and those that have not sought the LORD, nor inquired for him.Zephaniah 1:1-6
Again, according to the first verse, this would place the dating of the book of Zephaniah approximately around 2 Kings 22 and 2 Chronicles 34, and many of the events of the book of Jeremiah, which we read a minute ago. Though Josiah was the last good king in Judah, the apostasy and backsliding was immense. You can read the accounts for yourself. But here in Zephaniah, the Lord is warning once more that he is going to kill the birds before destroying the people themselves for their wickedness.
But how’s about a third time the Lord warns of this in the Old Testament?
[1] Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land. [2] By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood. [3] Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away. [4] Yet let no man strive, nor reprove another: for thy people are as they that strive with the priest. [5] Therefore shalt thou fall in the day, and the prophet also shall fall with thee in the night, and I will destroy thy mother. [6] My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. [7] As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame. [8] They eat up the sin of my people, and they set their heart on their iniquity. [9] And there shall be, like people, like priest: and I will punish them for their ways, and reward them their doings. [10] For they shall eat, and not have enough: they shall commit whoredom, and shall not increase: because they have left off to take heed to the LORD. [11] Whoredom and wine and new wine take away the heart.Hosea 4:1-11
Hosea would have been prophesying around 2 Kings 18, 2 Chronicles 29, and during the book of Isaiah. And yet we see a third time that the Lord warned that he would destroy the fowls of the air before destroying the inhabitants of the land. And what we see here in Hosea, and the other passages, are playing out here in America, and have been for quite sometime. And verse 6 rings so true. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” The willful ignorance of people anymore is just fascinating to behold at times: just the amount of stupidity they have and willingness to reject the truth at all costs. And just as with these “vaccines,” the sheep have lined up to be slaughtered in the name of a virus that doesn’t even exist!
But let us now look at a fourth reference:
[11] I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. [12] For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.Ecclesiastes 9:11-12
And Solomon, who wrote Ecclesiastes, gave a proverb giving a similar comparison:
As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.
Proverbs 26:2
In other words, the Lord will not curse someone or something without a cause. Moreover, “you reap what you sow” is implied. When the bird wonders into something it shouldn’t, it gets the reward for it. When someone curses someone, wrongfully, the curse comes back on them. Goliath cursing David (1 Samuel 17) and Balaam (Numbers 22-25; 2 Peter 2:15-22) cursing against Israel are great examples. We know this because of what Solomon says in the next chapter:
As a bird that wandereth from her nest, so is a man that wandereth from his place.
Proverbs 27:8
When the bird starts to wander from the nest where it belongs, it brings back what was gotten while flying, as explained in Proverbs 26:2. When people start to wander away from the truth, then perversion and lies take its place – which can be applied to so many things nowadays. The roles of men and women are prime examples, and how here in these end times the men are acting like women, and vice-versa. But as I said, this verse can apply to so much. You wander from truth, you’ll fly and bring back lies and poison to the nest. Don’t believe me? Take a look at what Proverbs says again:
The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.
Proverbs 21:16
Really? You don’t say? And that is what we have up and down this country: dead and fruitless congregations. And now you see how this is all starting to tie back into what the Lord proclaimed against Israel. They cursed him and now he cursed them. America wandered out of the nest the Lord built for them, and now that curse has been brought back to the nest.
Moreover, look at another Proverb:
[21] With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him. [22] He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks; [23] Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life. [24] Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth. [25] Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths. [26] For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her. [27] Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.Proverbs 7:21-27
The wandering bird got a little too curious for his own good, and instead of staying put in the cozy nest, the bird got snagged in the trap of the fowler. Just as Proverbs 21:16 says, the result is DEATH. The context of Proverbs 7 is talking about committing adultery with a harlot, a prostitute in other words. This has both physical and spiritual application. Going back to the book of Hosea, as mentioned earlier, the Lord commanded Hosea to marry the harlot Gomer to make a point: the adulterous marriage represented the adulterous relationship between the Lord and the Hebrews. They forsook the Lord and committed adultery and whoredoms to anger the Lord.
Do you see how it is all tying back in? I realize I am throwing a lot of meaty scripture at you, so hope you are staying with me. But as noted in Proverbs 7, the wondering and wicked bird got snared, just as it is snared in Ecclesiastes 9, which we read earlier.
To summarize all of this: I believe the Lord is giving America a sign of the destruction that is around the corner. The birds are dying mysteriously – to the lost world they don’t get it; but the saved who study the Lord’s word understand
Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.
Proverbs 28:5
Furthermore, did you catch what the symptoms of these birds were? “Crusty and oozing eye patches, instability, and being lethargic.” Well that’s funny, because, that seems to describe the lost world, does it not?
[14] And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; [15] I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. [16] So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. [17] Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: [18] I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. [19] As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.Revelation 3:14-19
[37] But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him: [38] That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed? [39] Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again, [40] He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. [41] These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.John 12:37-41
[17] This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, [18] Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: [19] Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.Ephesians 4:17-19
The slothful man saith, There is a lion without, I shall be slain in the streets.
Proverbs 22:13
The sluggard is wiser in his own conceit than seven men that can render a reason.
Proverbs 26:16
The first three passages on blindness are self-explanatory, but the two proverbs might not be clear to you. The first one is meant to be satirical and hyperbolic. The sluggard is so lazy and lethargic he gets overdramatic about things. If the lion is without, then that means it is NOT in the streets, so there is no fear of danger: but not in the eyes of the sluggard. And yet that is what we see today. People that are so lazy and complacent about what is going on in the world around them. Furthermore, as explained in the second verse, the sluggard is so self-conceited no amount of facts will convince him or her otherwise.
So, I find it quite fascinating that the Lord sends a “mysterious disease” among the birds that are represent blindness and laziness: a perfect description of America right now.
Now I know a lot of this sounds a bit dark and depressing, and granted it can be – there are still important promises to remember: and they relate to birds.
[6] Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth. [7] Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped. [8] Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.Psalm 124:6-8
While the lost world gets trapped in their own snare they set for themselves, when the “nest” gets ripped up here in the future, the Lord will lead and protect his own into safety.
[1] He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. [2] I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. [3] Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. [4] He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. [5] Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; [6] Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. [7] A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. [8] Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. [9] Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; [10] There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.Psalms 91:1-10
All of those warnings we read about earlier, as terrifying as they are, the Lord guarantees protection from all of that to all of his saints that trust in him and follow him. If you are born again, and you follow his word, and are not ensnared by the world, then the Lord WILL protect you. The Lord will wrap his wings (figuratively speaking) around the saved and protect them.
So hopefully you learned something today. I think I made my point clear that I do firmly believe that the Lord is sending a warning signal. And while it will get ugly, there is still a sense of PEACE, as we reviewed in the very beginning of my commentary, that only those that are born again are have assurance in the word of God know what I mean, and are promised.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

True, indeed. Meaty scripture, & two-eyed. The Bible believers who eschewed the craft & nicolaitan ways in America, many of them ended up in the hills of Appalachia. They were despised & targeted by humanist social justice liberals who sent in their liberal teachers, Peace Corp types, & their rock & roll, drugs & tv. There were also the other Babylonian cults ‘evangelizing’ with charismania & mysticism, Catholic power centers & hospitals, union organizers & the other corporatists of global corporatism with no allegiance to God or nation who clustered around the logging & mining towns.
Prohibition brought the bootleggers & the revenuers. Which reminds me of the canny & wise beyond her years young lady across the street. Due to her health issues, hydro-encephaly, she’s had multiple surgeries & was so strung out on legally prescribed fentanyl & opiates that she briefly lost her children. She manages the pain & problem now with marijuana she buys locally, because what the government & ‘certified’ growers are involved with (as state liquor) is stronger & addictive, gmo & sprayed with glyphosate. Anything for a buck & the pretense of better & better, Satan’s Favorite Philosophy, indeed.
But a few in those hills stuck with the stuff, the Book, & struggled on. Here’s an old song of warning concerning The Great Speckled Bird. Considering Romans 9-11, there is no preference of persons with God, & what the old-timers warned of & the young were taught to pooh-pooh, & to despise by the craft coming in the guise of progress & science & ‘neutrality’ that wasn’t….antichrist & corrupting, initiating into sin as surely as those Baals of Peor….is now here. https://youtu.be/rRbfQrKcVjg
I have feeders out. And I don’t buy berries to put out, though some of the quality feed includes them: I share my blueberries (which they seem to love best) & raspberries with them. Generally, I put seed out & it’s gone in a few days….then I wait a couple weeks before doing it again because it seems folly to make them dependent & to encourage them in doing what they’re not designed to do. Especially in the summer when there is plenty of seeds & food about for them. Other than one fledgling Jay, which I believe the cowbirds shoved out, & the feral neighborhood cats carried off….we haven’t noticed any of the reported die-off here.
I began planting for food during the Obama years, such little space that we have, & in hope of a more gradual collapse, or to leave something & warning to those who might have to go into that most terrible time coming. All hope of the churches standing fading as the ‘Christian right’ proved itself not only false, but actively hastening the consequences of sin & judgment. Some things don’t grow so well as they used to, the standard garden plants, the fruit trees….I suspect soil, the spraying, & magnetic electric smog. They require much more intensive care, heavy mineral & compost additions than they used to….and even so things seem spindly compared to when I was young & some things hardly grow at all. Learning to forage for greens.
The berries fared better, & regular addition to the surrounding soil of coffee grounds, with comfrey & mint growing near seems to have aided that. The deep roots of comfrey drawing up minerals & nutrients, the rich green compost of the plant, no doubt aiding, too. Mint deterring some pests, though prone to mildews.
I’m enjoying the singing of the birds in the quiet of the morning even now. It begins in the woods & hedge/fencerows, & then moves closer into my garden every morning. It has actually surprised me how resilient they & the rabbits have been, given that the snakes & such are gone from the glyphosated fields & ditches.
The rabbits feast on my petunias, easily working around & seemingly unfazed by the marigolds interspersed to discourage them, & the deer have increased in number, coming in to chew on my apple & pear trees. I’ve been considering blood meal to discourage both, but raising prices & concern over purity deterred me. A couple weeks ago we watched a young doe move down the row of trees & garden eating every single day-lily blossom she came to! I had no idea that was a deer delicacy…lol….and sigh. I will miss them if it all goes silent. We must continue making melody in our hearts by the grace of God & regular practice, singing the old doctrine rich hymns & regularly feeding on the word, hiding it in our hearts.
There is this impending sense of coming darkness. Powerlessness to do anything temporally but to pray, continue in the word, watch, & warn those few who will listen. And they are few. The young lady across the street with health issues, & a well-evidenced past of medical abuse to cause her to be skeptical is far more likely to be saved, and not to turn us in as things escalate, than the Catholic & Masonic ‘good, hardworking, ‘mericans’ around us, & even in our family.
The Mennonite/Amish in the area have their pluses when it comes to farming practices & hard work: but their eschatology is Augustinian, & they are being drawn into the social justice schemes of communitarianism & authoritarian humanist-papist-Babylonian blind obedience via that means. There is a hardness in their separation, & veiled impurity, self-righteousness & craft that is neither biblical nor godly. If things go on much longer, I can see them as overseers on the resurrected Jesuit reducciones like the ‘sustainable’ agave farms being promoted & established in Mexico & Central America. A repeat of the company towns with their scripts, this time digital.
I pray things will not go silent, as well as dark moving forward. May it be as Goshen here & there, with the distinction & for the glory & name of the Lord, as the pattern of judgment: Egypt, Canaan, Jew & Gentile moves on. Toward the glorious day & morning after the darkening as we remember the promises & experience his presence, though not in presumption or the hardening of those whose love will grow cold. If it must be, it must be. I am sad for your loss in Indiana…so near to us in Ohio.
I have always counted the birds’ constancy as part of the promise concerning seedtime & harvest not failing, going on to the end. Though we do not hear the bob-white quail of my youth, the ‘silent spring’ caused by DDT a real loss from which we never recovered here, even with artificial programs of raising & release. Such quail & pheasant raised by men just sit there & get shot in the for-pay hunting season, never understood the ‘sport’ in that.
Wow. I’m amazed. I have no doubt in my mind that this is exactly what’s happening. The symptoms of these dying birds indeed perfectly portray the wicked in this nation, especially they that have recieved the death shot, It all makes sense. This was a great report brother, I’ll be sure to show this to people. The LORD bless you and your ministry!
Thank you, brother!
Where I live there are more birds then last year. I don’t see this happening. Must be two different realities.
I live in Pennsylvania and I heard about this happening 2 weeks ago. It really saddened me. Then it dawned on me I had found a dead robin in the same condition as what they are describing 1 week prior laying behind my back garage. It’s eyes were swollen and it’s mouth was opened.
I wondered to myself what on earth would give it that kind of appearance……It baffled me. The poor thing looked as if it suffered. But it was very odd to me at the time as there was no window for it to fly into, & get killed, & was not messed with in any way by animals. It was as it it just fell over and died. I’ve lived here my whole life and never seen anything like it.
It’s terrifying and it’s also sobering and somber. It really makes you think and the fact that there are verses backing it up only fuels my love and respect for the King James Bible.
Birds dropping dead inexplicably like that is a warning. Well, he’s taking them home.
My sister told me about these dying birds a week or two ago. I had not noticed anything wrong where I live and have been hearing their tweets mostly at night. She also told me she and her husband and daughter all took the jabs. I tried to warn them with e-mailed articles and verbally, already knowing they probably would not listen. The husband thinks the media do not lie. And he hates the gospel and I guess so does she. He was Mr. Big Shot when I was a baby Christian, but he is Mr. Moron to me now. So I held my tongue thinking to myself a bunch of birds dying is the least of the problems in store for her in the near future (unless they were given a placebo). Because I’m saved and they are not, I’ve been the black sheep for decades and not allowed to participate in their reindeer games. No big loss to me now, whereas it bothered me a bit when I was younger. Next day or two after our talk, which is a rare event anyway, a bright red cardinal was staring at me through the kitchen window.
5g rollout?
Just a thought.
.\\itch – John 13:34-35 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Great text, brother. I learned a lot by reading. Thank you. I just want to add one thing: many vaccinated people are just colapsing and dying like the birds. God bless you
As a singer, songwriter, and bandleader who left the U.S. last year (before the election), I find this article interesting. Christians should be aware that they’ve gotten the culture they paid for just like the secular world; not everybody who name-drops Jesus in a song lyric is actually praising the Lord, and not everybody who sings secular material as well as Christian is necessarily anathema to the Kingdom (Johnny Cash? Wanda Jackson? Hello?). You preached down to your songbirds from a pedestal of self-righteous, unholy sanctimony about “holiness,” and got your Hillsong shills and Satanic Superbowls to show for it. I’m not happy about it. But I took the hint and left. Repent.
