The Labor Department released the initial jobless claims from the previous week. As usual, they are not getting any better.
The Labor Department reports yet another 719,000 jobless claims were filed last week.
If you have been reading our weekly reports on the jobless claims, then you probably know what I am going to say. These numbers every week are worse than the worst week of the Great Recession in ’09 with 670,000. And yet the stock market continues to see new record highs.
