Android XR will also support glasses for all-day help in the future.

The following report is a blog post by Google, published on December 12th:

We started Android over a decade ago with a simple idea: transform computing for everyone. Android powers more than just phones — it’s on tablets, watches, TVs, cars and more.

Now, we’re taking the next step into the future. Advancements in AI are making interacting with computers more natural and conversational. This inflection point enables new extended reality (XR) devices, like headsets and glasses, to understand your intent and the world around you, helping you get things done in entirely new ways.

Bringing Android To XR

Today, we’re introducing Android XR, a new operating system built for this next generation of computing. Created in collaboration with Samsung, Android XR combines years of investment in AI, AR and VR to bring helpful experiences to headsets and glasses.

We’re working to create a vibrant ecosystem of developers and device makers for Android XR, building on the foundation that brought Android to billions. Today’s release is a preview for developers, and by supporting tools like ARCore, Android Studio, Jetpack Compose, Unity, and OpenXR from the beginning, developers can easily start building apps and games for upcoming Android XR devices. For Qualcomm partners like Lynx, Sony and XREAL, we are opening a path for the development of a wide array of Android XR devices to meet the diverse needs of people and businesses. And, we are continuing to collaborate with Magic Leap on XR technology and future products with AR and AI.

Blending Technology With Everyday Life, With Help From AI

Android XR will first launch on headsets that transform how you watch, work and explore. The first device, code named Project Moohan and built by Samsung, will be available for purchase next year.

With headsets, you can effortlessly switch between being fully immersed in a virtual environment and staying present in the real world. You can fill the space around you with apps and content, and with Gemini, our AI assistant, you can even have conversations about what you’re seeing or control your device. Gemini can understand your intent, helping you plan, research topics and guide you through tasks.

We’re also reimagining some of your favorite Google apps for headsets. You can watch YouTube and Google TV on a virtual big screen, or relive your cherished memories with Google Photos in 3D. You’ll be able to explore the world in new ways with Google Maps, soaring above cities and landmarks in Immersive View. And with Chrome, multiple virtual screens will let you multitask with ease. You can even use Circle to Search to quickly find information on whatever’s in front of you, with just a simple gesture.

Plus, because it’s Android, your favorite mobile and tablet apps from Google Play will work right out of the box, with even more apps, games and immersive content made for XR arriving next year.

Android XR will also support glasses for all-day help in the future. We want there to be lots of choices of stylish, comfortable glasses you’ll love to wear every day and that work seamlessly with your other Android devices. Glasses with Android XR will put the power of Gemini one tap away, providing helpful information right when you need it — like directions, translations or message summaries without reaching for your phone. It’s all within your line of sight, or directly in your ear.

As we shared yesterday, we’ll soon begin real-world testing of prototype glasses running Android XR with a small group of users. This will help us create helpful products and ensure we’re building in a way that respects privacy for you and those around you.

Building The XR Ecosystem

Android XR is designed to be an open, unified platform for XR headsets and glasses. For users, this means more choice of devices and access to apps they already know and love. For developers, it’s a unified platform with opportunities to build experiences for a wide range of devices using familiar Android tools and frameworks.

We’re inviting developers, device makers and creators everywhere to join us in shaping this next evolution of computing. If you’re a developer, check out the Android Developers Blog to get started. For everyone else, stay tuned for updates on device availability next year and learn more about Android XR on our website.

Augmented and virtual reality are the next evolution in digital opiates to vegetate on, to keep the masses distracted and deceived with never ending bread and circuses. You know these things are just going to be giant excuses to advertise 24/7 once broader adoption of AR becomes a thing.

Big-tech so far has tried unsuccessfully to really generate mass adoption of augmented reality, but make no mistake, they will eventually get the masses to accept it one way or another. The real goal is to get this stuff implanted directly into people; but before that can occur the masses must warm up to the idea of putting a “computer” on their faces. We’ve already seen the detrimental effects smart phones have had on society, now imagine what it will be like with all these fools wearing glasses and goggles on constantly?

SEE:

Revelation 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: [17] And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. [18] Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • “The real goal is to get this stuff implanted directly into people; but before that can occur the masses must warm up to the idea of putting a “computer” on their faces.”<—-It's bad enough there's a phone stuck in their hand. Zombies.

  • …..and of course the zombie masses will go for it. No wonder civilizations have been so easily taken over from within throughout history. This is why I spend my money rescuing animals both wild and domestic because they are totally 100% free of human evil, vices, avarice, etc. they are PURE unlike the vile species we are. We are the true disease, pandemic, whatever you want to call it, on this world, destroying more of it and each other every day. We are a failed species. I could go on about this god concept too. I will leave it with what sort of “god” creates beautiful animals enjoys sadistically watching them have to kill to eat and survive. ANIMALS WERE NOT PUT HERE FOR THE BENEFIT OF HUMANS. TOTAL BRAINWASHING. I WILL DEFEND ANIMALS OVER HUMANS 100% OF THE TIME

here is one for you bible people comparing animals and humans proving how similar we are. Remember, YOUR BIBLE: Ecclesiastis: 3:19. its long and i will copy it here for you to read. Remember, that you are the Bible people ENJOY YOUR LESS THAN EQUALITH WITH “BEASTS” ANOTHER PHONY BIBLE NOUN. THE ONLY BEASTS ON THIS WORLD WALK AROUND WITH TWO LEGS,WEAR CLOTHES AND ARE THE ONLY LIFE FORM THAT CAN CHANGE ITS ENVIRONMENT AND PUT THIS WORLD ON THE PATH OF TOTAL DESTRUCTION EVEN WITHOUT WARS. BRING ON THE HATE REPLIES,. 30 YEARS OF RESCUING ANIMALS SUPPORTS MY CLAIM. EVERY SINGLE ANIMAL PROBLEM IS HUMAN CAUSED AND THE ANIMALS ALWAYS PAY THE PRICE

For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other. Yea, they have all one breath, so that man hath no preeminence above a beast, for all is vanity.

For the [earthly] fate of the sons of men and the fate of animals is the same. As one dies, so dies the other; indeed, they all have the same breath and there is no preeminence or advantage for man [in and of himself] over an animal, for all is vanity.

For that which befalls the sons of men befalls beasts; even [in the end] one thing befalls them both. As the one dies, so dies the other. Yes, they all have one breath and spirit, so that a man has no preeminence over a beast; for all is vanity (emptiness, falsity, and futility)!

Like animals we breathe and die, and we are no better off than they are. It just doesn’t make sense.

The same thing happens to animals and to people—they die. People and animals have the same ‘breath.’ Is a dead animal different from a dead person? It is all so senseless!

For the fate of humans and the fate of the beast is the same. The death of the one is like the death of the other, for both are mortal. Man has no advantage over the beast, for both are fleeting.

For men and animals both breathe the same air, and both die. So mankind has no real advantage over the beasts; what an absurdity!
    MSG
Humans and animals come to the same end—humans die, animals die. We all breathe the same air. So there’s really no advantage in being human. None. Everything’s smoke. We all end up in the same place—we all came from dust, we all end up as dust. Nobody knows for sure that the human spirit rises to heaven or that the animal spirit sinks into the earth. So I made up my mind that there’s nothing better for us men and women than to have a good time in whatever we do—that’s our lot. Who knows if there’s anything else to life?

    • Haha so what God created is failed??? You do realize man goes into eternity but the beasts of the field do not according to the pure word of God, not all those corrupt perversions of scripture???
      – Ecclesiastes 3:21 KJV  Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

Animals are subject to vanity, and man has dominion over them. (Genesis 1:28 & 9:2 KJV)
I hope this is some kind of joke because if not you are highly deceived by philosophy and a world view. furthermore you would be ignoring the blatant things mentioned in scripture, but you only cherry pick a verse from several different perversions of scripture hoping something sticks to justify yourself by yourself. You have no final authority but have made your opinions ruler and judge, Yes the world is going in a chaotic course all life is suffering (Ephesians 2:2-3 KJV).
      – Romans 8:19-22 KJV  For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.  (20)  For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,  (21)  Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.  (22)  For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

Get saved and turn to the Lord Jesus for truth, and not some vain implication to things from an opinion of personal experiences.
      – Romans 10:11-13 KJV  For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.  (12)  For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.  (13)  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
      – Romans 3:3-4 KJV  For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?  (4)  God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
      – Galatians 6:7 KJV  Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

If not this will only stand against you at the final Judgement.

    • 1 Timothy 4:4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

You’re a liar. The creatures were put here for our benefit and Genesis 1 shows that.

Genesis 9:2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.

You need to drop your pride and come to the Lord Jesus Christ as a sinner. Ask him to save you and wash you from your sins in HIS blood. HIS righteousness is what you need not your own filthy righteous works.

    • @007:

Ecc 3:19 is precisely why I said in my other comment to be careful with the book of Ecclesiastes. Especially if you’re not saved, and you pick out a single verse out of context and let it define everything, without having spiritual understanding of the word of God. The Bible is a book that ties in many verses from different chapters to prove points.

Ecclesiastes was written by a heavily depressed old man that failed God miserably in his old age, by becoming an idolater (1 Kings 11). Also, he did not have Jesus Christ yet at the time, the comfort of the completed word of God—the KJB, and the blessed hope of salvation. Don’t get me wrong, there is much wisdom in that book, but you need to be saved and the Holy Spirit’s guidance to be able to have understanding and discernment of it and the KJB as a whole.

Those verses Solomon wrote are talking about fleshly mortality, that we will all face death eventually, men and animals equally: all living things on earth will die; that we are not above death, nor can we cheat or escape it. If you connect the verse with the New Testament, the epistles of Paul and Peter, “beasts” are also used to describe the manner or ways of evil people: eating, drinking, fornicating and partying/playing like there’s no tomorrow, just like animals that do the same out of instinct, without thinking about the consequences; as well as people that loathe the word of God.

He’s not saying we are the same or equal to animals in every aspect. Mankind has dominion and stewardship over all of nature (Gen 1:28). This is the point of Ecclesiastes, and the King James Bible, to make skeptics and unbelievers realize that all men are sinners; unless you come to salvation, your life and works will be worthless or vain no matter what you do, good or evil deeds, as your soul will go to eternal death (hell), after you die on earth. Once you die, the world moves on, and your priorities will be entirely different. Everything is vanity if you’re lost because you won’t have true purpose for the things you do, or despite all the power and riches like what Solomon had, and without Christ there will always be a hole in you that you’ll never be able to fill.

Ecc 3:16  And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.
Ecc 3:17  I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.
Ecc 3:18  I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.
Ecc 3:19  For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.
Ecc 3:20  All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.
Ecc 3:21  Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?
Ecc 3:22  Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?

Verse 16 further proves that without God saving us, our own righteousness means nothing, iniquity is still there, and it won’t merit heaven; because a single sin we commit is a permanent mark on us, we become impure, no amount of good deeds will erase this, and we can’t dwell in heaven and with God who is pure, so we have choose to ask God to save us, to be cleansed by the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

In Verse 21, you can see another difference between men and animals: men’s spirit, which is the breath of life (Gen 2:7, also connected with the soul), goes back up to God, while the animals’ spirit goes into the earth. No puppies in heaven.

Verse 18 says that we should see ourselves like the beasts, not in the sense that we are no more than animals entirely; but that people have to realize eventually everyone will die at some point, just like animals, we are not above death; and to understand that everyone who is lost is evil in God’s sight, and is compared to a beast or animal such as an asp in Romans 3, or “beasts” in their manner or ways, such as how it is declared with those that oppose the word of God, and people whose only purpose in life is to eat, drink, fornicate and have “fun”, comparable to a dog (1 Cor 15:32, 2 Pet 2:12). This is something a person that becomes truly saved realizes beforehand, once you humble yourself enough to this point of admission, then that’s when you are able to sincerely ask God to be saved, when all shred of self-righteousness is gone:

Rom 3:10  As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Rom 3:11  There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
Rom 3:12  They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Rom 3:13  Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
Rom 3:14  Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
Rom 3:15  Their feet are swift to shed blood:
Rom 3:16  Destruction and misery are in their ways:
Rom 3:17  And the way of peace have they not known:
Rom 3:18  There is no fear of God before their eyes.
Rom 3:19  Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

Here, the Bible declares the differences of men and animals:

1 Cor 15:39  All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.

You are generalizing, not all people behave worse than, or like animals. And that statement of yours, about mankind being a true disease, is a philosophy straight from the movie The Matrix, and the globalists that aim for mass genocide/depopulation. Truly saved Christians do not belong in your category of “vile species”, likewise even some lost but decent people out there. Many of us do our part to preserve God’s creations in nature, and care for animals, most of all, people such as you. Why do you think we take the time to share the words of God and explain things?

But regarding using certain animals for food, this is a well-established scientific and Biblical truth and necessity. Without animal meats, we will not get optimum nutrition necessary for people to have utmost health of body and mind, and a mind that’s not healthy will affect how people generally behave, in turn society is affected as well for the worse, as we are seeing now with most of the sickly, apathetic, submissive population we have. Now, I don’t object if people choose to eat natural vegetables, I’m simply saying it is a proven fact that without animal meats, we don’t get optimum health, and this largely affects how people function individually and collectively, in our societies, mind and body alike.

I eat meat, in fact I worked in a pig farm before. I personally don’t approve, however, of letting livestock suffer. If you need to slaughter a cow or pig for meat, it has to be done quickly. If you raise livestock, it has to be the natural, proper ways and conditions.

Animals act out of instinct, not conscience. People act out of conscience first, not pure instinct. A dog or a cat will eat its own young when it’s starving, and even when it’s not; I had a cat that used to eat its own kittens, leaving them headless under the dining table, and this was a well-loved pet, not a rescued and abused creature. Dogs will eat any type of poop. Starve a dog enough and I wouldn’t doubt that it will eat a person’s flesh, whether someone alive tied to a chair or a corpse. Pigs will eat anything you throw at them. Crows will peck out and eat your eyeballs while you’re still alive, if you’re chained somewhere long enough. Tamed wild animals turn on their masters within the blink of an eye. There may be some exceptions, but these still don’t disprove the facts.

If you project your emotions on an animal, especially a pet, then you’ll be seeing them as a person, which will warp your thinking about people and animals. Meanwhile, the reason dogs or cats, or other domesticated animals behave the way they do, that they show their masters affection is because largely it’s their instincts, a way for them to survive. Some specific animals have intelligence, I’m not disputing this, some may even show affection or empathy, but nowhere close to decent people.

Twisted individuals out there are like or worse than animals definitely, but decent people, even lost folks with enough good morals—thanks to the existence of the King James Bible, that even lost people are influenced by the word of God whether they realize it or not, along with the God-given conscience— will not resort to cannibalism or creep like a mountain lion and hunt down someone for food and survival, or kill a weaker or disabled person, and definitely will not eat their own children or their own bodily waste.

Animals are not made in God’s image, we are:

      James 3:9
Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.

Sick individuals that destroy ecosystems and treat animals cruelly are detestable. I’m all for protecting God’s animals and maintaining their habitats. But don’t get carried away where you start to exalt them above God and his word, this will put you in a weird mindset:

      Rom 1:18  For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Rom 1:19  Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
Rom 1:20  For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Rom 1:21  Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22  Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23  And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Rom 1:24  Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Rom 1:25  Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

  • Yes this is leading to worse standards by suciety. People are already brain washed going according to the course of this world as it is now (Ephesians 2:2-3).
