The CDC and the AD Council have partnered together to create a new campaign to strongly encourage those hesitant of getting the vaccine by scaring them.

The new short phrase for this new campaign is titled, “It’s Up To You.”

The WinePress has been documenting that vastly growing numbers of people and nations are becoming even more hesitant to receiving the vaccine. From the military, frontline workers, health care workers, prison guards, and many other civilians. Just recently even more health care workers are reported being skeptical of the vaccine and have chosen to pass on it. Just yesterday we reported that almost two dozen nations are suspending the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Recognizing this hesitancy, the CDC and the AD council has teamed up to advocate the vaccine.

The new campaign utilizes television, radio, banner, and online video advertisements. They are translated into both English and Spanish. Additionally, GetVaccineAnswers.org was created to answer questions surrounding vaccines, and quench any potential fears and “conspiracy theories.”

Tara Kirk Sell, PhD, senior scholar at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security in Maryland, tells Verywell this:

I am really excited about this campaign. While I don’t think it will miraculously fix the problem of the communication failures and spread of misinformation and disinformation over the past year, I am hopeful that it will help move people who are hesitant towards getting a vaccine.

I don’t really know that another website is going to be able to address the range of vaccine hesitancy concerns.

While I think the initiative is great, we need to see trusted people in these communities take it a step further to bring vaccination up as a topic of conversation, address concerns—which are fair for people to voice—and talk through how the vaccine is safe and can help us move forward to get back to all those things we want to do.

If this [campaign] is as good as Tips from Former Smokers, I’d be pretty happy. While we need it to move the needle on more than 100,000 people, [based on] the number of people who quit smoking from that campaign, I think this campaign can do it.

We still need help from public health, community leaders, and every person who has had a vaccine or wants one to spread the message that these vaccines are the path back to what we have missed over the past year. We need adult children to talk to their parents, we need pastors to talk about it at church, we need everyone to lend a hand and have that conversation.

I’ve only seen the initial video spots and messages so I think we will need to see how much it is able to penetrate into everyday life, but I’m glad to see this big effort. Time will tell how it measures up.

I can appreciate that the campaign is focusing on actions that an individual can take, to indicate that everyone should play a part and must play a part in this pandemic to protect communities.

I appreciate that it has a call to action. People must feel as though they can do the action, or have self-efficacy and believe that the action is effective, or response efficacy. They must also believe there is a threat to nudge them to act. I think the key is to identify trusted messengers that recommend doable actions so that people feel like they can do something to protect their loved ones and communities.

Looks like more of our tax dollars that were initially invested by the Trump administration are being spent again to scare people into getting the vaccine. As we said in that report, when more of the propaganda comes out, those on the rightwing will blame Biden and Democrats for spreading fear; but Trump helped fund a lot of it.

As we have been reporting, the media is forced to respond to the growing skepticism of those rejecting the vaccines. Fauci, for example, has continually been pushing this narrative that if we do not get vaccinated and reach herd immunity, then we can never truly get our “normal lives” back. Therefore, “It’s up to us” to get vaccinated to get our freedoms back that THEY TOOK AND THE PEOPLE IDLY LET THEM TAKE THEM!!

Prior to this new fear campaign, the AD council also released a 30 second ad with popular movie characters reedited wearing face masks. It depicts characters such as the Joker, Wonder Woman, Harry Potter, and many others wearing masks. They showed a scene that made me laugh: some old black and white film (I think is Citizen Kane, though I do not know or care), where two people are sipping alcoholic beverages, but they have masks on!

  • I’m not sure whether the vax cancellations are because the public is awaking and being more aware or if its jus a follow-up psy-op of the “vax (artificial) shortage” and make the masses beg for them even more.

    In any case, that ain’t fair game. They take everything from you, then offer you a “voluntary” vaccine to return you some things back if you behave like a good lapdog. Aaalways blaming the laity. That’s plain blackmail. It’s all an illusion, things will NOT go back to how they were even if the entire world got the shot, but there are fools who still believe them. Propaganda has no limits and no end, if you buy it.

    Oh the pride! People can’t stand the mere thought that they were and are being deceived like total buffoons, so they double down on their fanatic compliance. Funny how we, who do our research, are the dumb ones and those who follow blindly their TV are the smart rule-abiding “good citizens”, who look at you as if you were scum because they are so “charitable” and “caring”!     • Phenomenal words, ryoji! Yeah, these prideful sheeple finally get a few “doses” of truth exposing the scam-demic and they refuse to admit or come to terms saying “hey, wait a minute. Those devils lied to me! They lied to us! Let’s tear this down,” no instead they’d rather toss it aside and sit in their quarantine forts, socially distance themselves from every John Jane and Joan, and wear their face diapers like a bunch of sissies until they’re old people.   • I have seen the propaganda ads myself and I was like that’s a little new. So now with almost 13% of the USA population fully vaccinated, the propganda will continue and the Vatican is going to beef up the messaging.
    When government officials notice that not many are taking the vaccine, they would try new ways to get people to get the vaccine. Now religious leaders are being used to persuade people to take the vaccine. There are even articles from mainstream media on how to persuade (by persuade they mean deceive) people into taking the vaccine.

  • I couldn’t help but notice one of those phony PSAa called “worship.” That is why we must stay out of these church buildings! Organized religion is evil! It’s an imposter! Church buildings are probably more evil than any bar, strip club, or drug den or casino around! Get out of the church buildings and get into the King James Bible!
    People have already been waking up for quite some time so chances are and in Jesus’ name, you’re not gonna fool them with those pathetic ads.
