A significant number of Americans fear the upcoming election could lead to political violence, with 6% stating that a second civil war is “very likely” and 21% saying it is “somewhat likely.” Roughly equal proportions of Trump and Harris supporters thought a civil war was at least somewhat likely, according to the survey conducted between October 18-21 for The Times and the SAY24 project.
Of the 1,266 respondents, 12% said they know someone who might take up arms if they believed Republican candidate Trump were cheated out of victory, while 5% reported knowing someone who would do the same for Democratic rival Harris. Pollsters also asked about gun ownership but found no correlation with perceptions of whether civil war was likely.
The poll highlighted deep divisions within American society, with 84% of voters agreeing that the country is more divided than it was ten years ago.
After US President Joe Biden dropped out of the race and endorsed Harris as his party’s nominee, the Democrats initially enjoyed a honeymoon period with voters, reflected in rising poll numbers. However, recent surveys indicate that Trump is leading in most swing states, even if within the margin of error.

I saw a lot of other international outlets talking about this poll, which indicates that the rest of the world clearly sees that the U.S. empire and hegemony is coming to a momentous end.
The WP has also noted that many Americans do not like either candidate, Trump or Harris (technically Biden when these polls were conducted), especially young Millennials and Zoomers who see them and the government on a whole as a corrupt, evil and dying empire.

Even though the sample size is really small, I think we can all agree that the possibility of a civil war, or at the very least pockets of intense rioting, looting, and stand-offs with police and National Guard, are WELL with the realm of possibilities. Most people, however, will still be compliant. They may complain and be furious, by most will still get on with their lives. Until food and ease of convenience goes away and/or is simply impossible to afford, only then will there be massive uprisings. Until then, as long as Americans in either camp remain lulled to sleep with bread and circuses, and abundance of junk and idleness, there will not be true rebellion, not yet…

Also pay careful attention to John 3:16, the verb “to love” is in the past tense:

God loved the world, and that’s why came down to in a body of flesh and blood, to a live a sinless life, and to be the prefect sacrifice for the sins of man (1 Corinthians 15:45, “…the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.”).
God does not love what people are doing now, and it’s only by his mercies that we are not consumed (Lamentations 3:22).
