Pew noted that it has been almost 40 years since it saw such a high number of so-called “double hater” votes for the candidates in a presidential election.

The following report is by The Trends Journal:

Americans will be holding their noses when they vote in the 2024 Presidential Election this November, according to a new poll that shows a record number dislike the incumbent, Joe Biden, and the former president, Donald Trump.

A newly released Pew Research poll found that 25 percent of respondents have unfavorable views of both men. Thirty-six percent said they have a favorable view of Trump and not Biden, while 34 percent said they have a favorable view of Biden and not Trump.

Roughly a quarter of Americans have an unfavorable view of both Biden, Trump

Pew noted that it has been almost 40 years since it saw such a high number of so-called “double hater” votes for the candidates in a presidential election. The number almost doubled since 2020—when the two first squared off—when 13 percent of Americans said they disliked both candidates.

Increasing negative partisanship is a major factor behind the decline in favorability of major party candidates. Favorability ratings for candidates have become considerably more negative among members of the opposing party than they were a few decades ago.

Pew said in a statement.

Axios summed up the poll: This fall’s Trump vs. Biden rematch is the “most dreaded election in modern political history.”

The report noted that in all likelihood this election will be decided by about six percent of voters located in six swing states. “Many of them will hold their nose and pick a candidate they dislike in November.”

A Fox News poll released last week claimed to show Biden with the edge over Trump 50 percent to 48 percent. Biden also leads Trump against other candidates in the race by a 43 percent to 42 percent margin.

TRENDPOST: The Pew poll was taken between 13 to 19 May—before Trump was found guilty of falsifying business records while running for president in 2016. Earlier this month, Hunter Biden was convicted of violating federal gun laws when he lied about using illicit drugs before buying a gun.

The Economist/YouGov survey found that 67 percent of respondents strongly or somewhat approved of Biden’s guilty verdict.

The Hill noted that Biden’s son faces a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison and $750,000 in fines, “though sentences are often less than the maximum, especially for first-time offenders.”

As this week’s cover shows, it’s a complete clown show and both men are fully entrenched in “the club.”

Trump will be sentenced on 11 July. He faces three other criminal cases, but it is unclear when they will begin.

Trump’s legal team has been trying to delay the trials.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

At this point there are two very broad groups: one that is still asleep and fully engrossed in the system, and the world; and the other that is exhausted, discouraged, depressed, and sick of all the nonsense: and from there both broad groups splinter out into hundreds of different tribes and clicks.

1 Thessalonians 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. [7] For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

Young people have especially checked out. The WP cited a poll last month that showed roughly 50% of Gen-Z adults and young Millennials (18-30) strongly or somewhat agree that it doesn’t matter who wins the elections because not much or nothing will change. The same poll revealed ‘65% agreed either strongly or somewhat that “nearly all politicians are corrupt, and make money from their political power.”’

This viral TikTok video from this Gen-Z’er expressed how so many of them are feeling right now:

But it’s not just Gen-Z. There was a video that went viral recently of an older working man, who owns his own painting company, has a wife and kids, had a breakdown and lamented how he could not make ends meet and pay to support his family, and how he feels like a failure to them, and called out both Biden and Trump. It’s really sad to see.

People who live in the real world and see what’s going on are at their breaking points and infuriated with all that’s going on. The rest of the masses live in complete, saccharine delulu.

At this point in 2024, after everything that has happened to this country, none more so these last few years – if you are still going along for the ride then I don’t know what else to tell you. As I said in the piece I wrote in March – “We Have Selections, Not Elections. It’s All Just Theater, Dividing Us Over Premade Decisions” – I said:

Jesse Ventura, a former Navy SEAL, Governor of Minnesota (running as an Independent, 1999-2003), a WWE wrestler and movie/TV star, has a really good way of summarizing the political banter, campaigns, and elections in the United States:

Politics in America is identical to pro wrestling.

In front of the crowd, in front of TV, they pretend they hate each other. They pretend like they are big adversaries and that’s the sell job they do to us, the citizens. Just like pro wrestling, my job was to go out and piss everybody off so bad they would pay their hard earned money to go out and see me get my butt kicked.

Well, the point is, we are all friends in the locker room. We all work together. It’s entertainment. We put on a show and this is no different. They are putting on a show, because behind the scenes, they are all friends. They go out to dinner together and cut their deals together. It’s a show. That’s what I believe.

I taught at Harvard in 2004. Do you know what one of my classes was? How Pro Wrestling Prepares You For Politics.

Ventura explained in an interview with Chuck Palahnuik

That’s about the best way to summarize it all; and this is coming from a guy who actually was a professional wrestler, and who was a governor, so I’d venture to say that he has much better insight into this than we do.

This is the very same sentiment I have been saying for some time now, but this comes from someone who actually walked the walk, it’s more palatable.

With just months away the United States will have another [s]election. No, not an election, a [s]election is all that it is. At this point here in 2024, with all that has been happening and has happened for such a long time, you either see it for what it is or you chose not to; so, I’m not going to waste time listing a plethora of reasons why. You either get it or you don’t.

But with another [s]election means more off-the-wall bonkers, prima donna, reality television show, dog & pony, finger puppet theater, another Saturday Night Live skit, good cop, bad cop; another professional wrestling match, more pretend drama to distract from what’s really going on.

Remember last time’s Presidential Debate? My goodness, what a clown show that was.

So, tomorrow night, the nation will have to suffer through a staged debate hosted by CNN, with no crowd – which that right there tells you just how much of a gong show this is going to be; and it will be just as Ventura described: professional wrestling.

So take your pick: Donald Duck or Goofy.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • As far as this whole debate/election deal goes; I’m glad God decides who’s gettin in, cause if it were up to the people of this country to pick; we’d be worse off because of all of the evil wickedness of this country
Our choices; Dumpster A or Dumpster B, they both collect dung.

How can a Bible-Believer vote with a clean conscience for ether?

    • Daniel 2:21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:
Whoever we get God has a very specific reason as to why.

      • That’s right Jacob.
I’m just taking a guess and I could be wrong: but I think Trump will be SElected and from there, the doo doo will hit the fan and things will come unglued and go off the rails, and it’ll be like “here’s your president that you love so much, you phony patriots, let’s see how “great” he’ll make America!”

      • Yes, Jacob, I know God puts them in; just saying as a Bible-Believer it’s like there is no way I can support ether.
Just as He did with Nebuchadnezzar: whose’ s the next Nebuchadnezzar for the US?

  • Agree with this article. I can’t stomach Trump or Biden. They’ve both PROVEN that they are bought and paid for.

  • You can tell this poll is accurate by the poor attendance at the wildly unpopular Trump Rallies…..
