On October 9th, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) urged world leaders to stop using lockdowns to curve the spread of Covid-19.
We in the World Health Organization do not advocate lockdowns as the primary means of control of this virus. The only time we believe a lockdown is justified is to buy you time to reorganize, regroup, rebalance your resources, protect your health workers who are exhausted, but by and large, we’d rather not do it.
Lockdowns just have one consequence that you must never ever belittle, and that is making poor people an awful lot poorer.
Just look at what’s happened to the tourism industry in the Caribbean, for example, or in the Pacific because people aren’t taking their holidays. Look what’s happened to smallholder farmers all over the world. … Look what’s happening to poverty levels. It seems that we may well have a doubling of world poverty by next year. We may well have at least a doubling of child malnutrition.
And so, we really do appeal to all world leaders: stop using lockdown as your primary control method. Develop better systems for doing it. Work together and learn from each other.
Dr. David Nabarro said to The Spectator’s Andrew Neil
This of course has gone ignored by world leaders, politicians, and federal and local health officials, as nations such as Israel, the U.K., Germany, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, and many parts of the U.S., and many more, since October.
Today the World Economic Forum (WEF), who The WinePress has reported on several times already, tweeted the opposite of the WHO’s plea and advice.
The caption of the tweet read,
Lockdowns are quietly improving cities around the world.
ZeroHedge reports that the tweet was paired with a video displaying deserted streets and dead factories, mentioning that there were a record drop in carbon emissions and provided a link to an article claiming that silent cities contributed to better detection of minor earthquakes.
The tweet was deleted within hours after receiving a barrage of mockery and scrutiny.
The WEF then tweeted that they were deleting their initial post.
We’re deleting this tweet. Lockdowns aren’t “quietly improving cities” around the world. But they are an important part of the public health response to COVID-19.
However, many on social media were not having it and tweeted their anger and frustration to the WEF.
The WEF tripled-down in a response to one tweet by a professor from Carleton University in Canada. The WEF stated,
It was written by a working human being who made a mistake. It was deleted.
AUTHOR COMMENTARY
The WinePress has reminded readers extensively that Covid-19 has nothing to do with a virus, everything to do with destroying the world as we knew it and create a ‘new world order.’ This is the “Great Reset.” This is the “New normal.” We have explained this in several posts explicitly dealing with statements from the WEF.

If you have not read those, defintely take the time to do so as to not repeat similar commentary.
The WEF has gotten so bold with their agendas they do not even have to hide their propaganda because they the know masses are asleep and could care less; and those that do know will be side tracked with all the carnival acts performed in the media, and the psy-op cults, and propaganda.
How on God’s green earth does a quiet city help detect earthquakes?!?! I thought we had seismographs for this (as if people can’t feel an earthquake regardless)?? They are just trolling people at this point.
As for the WHO, I included that to remind everyone that they officially said this, but the governments, who claim to be following their guidance and the likes of the CDC (in the USA), continue to lock their nations down. But the WHO making those statements were just formalities. A monkey could have told you they would not work before one day of the lockdowns began. The Event 201 scripts had all of this planned out in advance.
