Last week The WinePress highlighted a new AI generator courtesy of Microsoft that can transform a single picture and audio clip into a short video. The clips, though very accurate and detailed, still had a number of noticeable imperfections the astute viewer should be able to discern.
However, not long after Microsoft divulged this new AI technology, a new AI-based technology that vastly outperforms Microsoft’s innovation has burst onto the scene, producing practically indistinguishable faceswapping technology, allowing users to make hyper-realistic AI deepfakes.
AI Katana shared this latest AI innovation on social media, but did not disclose the original source video, or if it belongs to a particular firm.
Other tech reporters have highlighted how, and in their opinion, this technology is a bit frightening in just how accurate the tracking is. Though there is a lack of context, some have expressed that perhaps the original raw video was first filmed and then processed by a trained algorithm to map the face, and was not done in real-time. Nevertheless, this technology demonstrates just how precise AI has become, and further challenges the legitimacy of what is presented online and in the media.

People using filters and photo-editing software to enhance and grossly skew what they look like online is nothing at this point, and I recommend everyone just assume that people are now using filters to varying degrees by default. But now this is getting way out of hand, and more and more people are going to use this for all the wrong reasons. We know the government, media, and military have been using this type of stuff for some time now (for how long I don’t know), but now with the general masses around the world getting access to it, the ramifications will be chaotic and hectic….
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

All of this is why I stay in the Book and tinker with my radio controlled nitro cars; ya can’t trust anything that is happening with all of this AI crap, virtual this virtual that, it never ends and gets wickeder and wickeder!
Dear Lord, judge this mess, it seems as though they have to get eviler by the minute to be satisfied.
Daniel’s 70th week can’t get here fast enough… this is infuriating!!!
Yeah and not alone can thE gov’s make deep fakes of ANYONE but also any random personal that can lift anyone’s image while on the street and make them do anything on these softwares to get them in trouble, out of envy, covetous, compliance, threat, blackmail, fraud.
I mean the list is endless and scary crazy.
What’s more crazy is that civilians are allowing these crazy psycho techies even create these tools and setting them free for all other crazies to use.
May I just say…….. creepyyyyyyy 😮
