With the annual World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in Davos, Switzerland, less than a week away, the WEF has published their annual Global Risks report, which dissects some of the most pressing matters in the world today and what can be done down to tackle it, acting as a preamble to the actual talks.

As detailed in a WinePress article last week, this year’s theme of the summit meeting is “rebuilding trust,” and discussing the potential for being stuck in a state of a “permacrisis.” Additionally, the four main topics of discussion involve: Achieving Security and Cooperation in a Fractured World, Creating Growth and Jobs for a New Era, Artificial Intelligence as a Driving Force for the Economy and Society, A Long-Term Strategy for Climate, Nature and Energy.

Published today, January 10th, the WEF released a detailed 124-page document discussing these many issues and the state of the world, and where it is headed.

Saadia Zahidi, Managing Director at the WEF, provides an overview of the information detailed in the report in a lengthy preface. She began the report by writing:

Last year’s Global Risks Report warned of a world that would not easily rebound from continued shocks. As 2024 begins, the 19th edition of the report is set against a backdrop of rapidly accelerating technological change and economic uncertainty, as the world is plagued by a duo of dangerous crises: climate and conflict.

The WEF also provides a summary of salient parts of the documents; which covers more environmentalist panic, economic woe namely for the low- and middle-class, international division and war. I encourage you to read their whole summary piece here. These charts highlight the most important points in their opinion of the threat of the current risks.

However, one of the more interesting parts of the report is this war on “truth.” In the subsection titled, “As polarization grows and technological risks remain unchecked, ‘truth’ will come under pressure,” the WEF has this to say (emphasis theirs):

Societal polarization features among the top three risks over both the current and two-year time horizons, ranking #9 over the longer term. In addition, Societal polarization and Economic downturn are seen as the most interconnected – and therefore influential – risks in the global risks network (Figure D), as drivers and possible consequences of numerous risks.

Emerging as the most severe global risk anticipated over the next two years, foreign and domestic actors alike will leverage Misinformation and disinformation to further widen societal and political divides (Chapter 1.3: False information).

As close to three billion people are expected to head to the electoral polls across several economies – including Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Pakistan, the United Kingdom and the United States – over the next two years, the widespread use of misinformation and disinformation, and tools to disseminate it, may undermine the legitimacy of newly elected governments.

Resulting unrest could range from violent protests and hate crimes to civil confrontation and terrorism.

Beyond elections, perceptions of reality are likely to also become more polarized, infiltrating the public discourse on issues ranging from public health to social justice. However, as truth is undermined, the risk of domestic propaganda and censorship will also rise in turn.

In response to mis- and disinformation, governments could be increasingly empowered to control information based on what they determine to be “true”.

Freedoms relating to the internet, press and access to wider sources of information that are already in decline risk descending into broader repression of information flows across a wider set of countries.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

Surely the serpent will bite without enchantment; and a babbler is no better.

Ecclesiastes 10:11

Indeed, and the WEF is a room full of slithering, hissing babblers that talk, and talk, and talk about all the problems – problems that many of those involved help to foment and thrust upon the world; and then continue to gaslight everyone into thinking their made-up solutions are actually organic ways to tackle the problems they want to happen, such as the economy collapsing and bringing people to their knees, and ultimately leveling the population in the process. Of course, plenty of this is just propaganda, too, but they still have to sell the deception.

But, claiming that “truth” is under pressure and under duress was the most comical thing in this report. I laughed out loud when I read it! Truth? What does these people know of truth? They don’t believe in any kind of truth!

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

[37] Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. [38] Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.

John 14:6,17:7, 8:44, 18:37-38

These spawns of Satan hate the truth – after all, one of their own says that the Bible should be rewritten with AI to create a “new Bible.” SEE: Top WEF Advisor Yuval Noah Harari Says The Bible Should Be ‘Rewritten’ With AI And Create A ‘New Bible’

These people love playing stupid, providing artificial solutions to their artificial problems they create; and in this instance, they basically spell-out what will happen next with precision accuracy. As far as I am concerned, what they explained what “could” and “might” happen is really just a guarantee. So, if you thought the massive uptick in censorship last year was bad, then buckle-up for 2024…

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).
