The largest was initially registered as a 7.6 magnitude quake that struck the main island of Honshu. Most recently at the time this report was published, another ‘earthquake registering lower 5 on the Japan’s seismic intensity scale hit the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture at around 10:20 a.m. on Tuesday,’ The Japan News reported.

The earthquakes, according to Japan Today, triggered ‘tsunami and fires in the central prefecture of Ishikawa, and dampening the festive mood of New Year celebrations nationwide.’
The paper added, ‘North and South Korea both issued similar alerts for their eastern coastal areas, according to local media and authorities. The Russian government issued a tsunami warning for the western coastal region of Sakhalin in the Far East following the Japanese earthquake, the Interfax news agency said.’
Fires elsewhere broke out after the earthquakes and building collapses.

[6] And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. [7] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. [8] All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Matthew 24:6-8
What a way to start 2024. Honestly, in my opinion, I think the Lord is sending a pretty loud and clear message that this year is going to be a tumultuous one, and yet another set of earthquakes to start the year is the mark of that.
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

I also thought of something similar. What are the odds of a great earthquake happening right on the first day of the year?
I think Japan is what ya’d call a divers place eh. Andddddd were offfff to shaky start…..
No pun intended we’re off to a shaky start indeed. This year and the years to follow are when the Lord begins to destroy this nation as well as others including Japan.
I got existed reading this 🙂
Japan is an area of intense earthquakes. All their poor citizens have probably experienced at least one earthquake in their lifetimes so far, but there have been earthquakes in odd places in the last few years too. Fortunately there was not a lot of deaths in this earthquake considering it was a 7.6. Come quickly, Lord Jesus, and take us to our Heavenly Home.
