In a statement from the Pentagon on December 25th, Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin, issued a brief statement on the attack and the DoD’s response. He wrote:
Today, at President Biden’s direction, U.S. military forces conducted necessary and proportionate strikes on three facilities used by Kataib Hezbollah and affiliated groups in Iraq. These precision strikes are a response to a series of attacks against U.S. personnel in Iraq and Syria by Iranian-sponsored militias, including an attack by Iran-affiliated Kataib Hezbollah and affiliated groups on Erbil Air Base earlier today, and intended to disrupt and degrade capabilities of the Iran-aligned militia groups directly responsible.
Today’s attack led to three injuries to U.S. personnel, leaving one service member in critical condition. My prayers are with the brave Americans who were injured today.
And let me be clear – the President and I will not hesitate to take necessary action to defend the United States, our troops, and our interests. There is no higher priority. While we do not seek to escalate conflict in the region, we are committed and fully prepared to take further necessary measures to protect our people and our facilities.
More specifically, U.S. Central Command said in a statement that the U.S. launched their attacks at 8:45 PM EST. “Early assessments indicate that these U.S. airstrikes destroyed the targeted facilities and likely killed a number of Kataib Hezbollah militants. There are no indications that any civilian lives were affected. The U.S. military will continue to evaluate the effectiveness of these strikes,” CENTCOM said in a release.
These strikes are intended to hold accountable those elements directly responsible for attacks on coalition forces in Iraq and Syria and degrade their ability to continue attacks. We will always protect our forces.
General Michael Erik Kurilla, U.S. Central Command Commander, said
Additionally, The Military Times wrote: “Since mid-October, bases housing U.S. troops in Iraq and Syria have come under attack at least 102 times, a defense official confirmed to Military Times on Friday.”
Iraq did not take too kindly to this, calling this a “clear hostile act.”
AUTHOR COMMENTARY
Someone in the comments of one of these news reports asked, “Wtf are we still doing in Iraq?” Great question, my friend: allow the “illustrious” Donald Trump to tell you why our Troops are still illegally occupying these territories, and why he broke one of his main campaign promises:
And so now, unsurprisingly, this war is escalating because this bloodthirsty, greedy country cannot stop meddling in everyone else’s business; where is war is peace, and the innocent and those in self-defense are the terrorists, and the criminals and butcherers are “freedom fighters.” But don’t worry, the murderous thief Lloyd Austin, the guy who once sat on the Board of Directors for Raytheon, the second largest U.S. defense contractor, sends his “prayers.” Just evil.
He that passeth by, and meddleth with strife belonging not to him, is like one that taketh a dog by the ears.
Proverbs 26:17
And of course, these liars and warwhores still persist in pushing the narrative that Iran is the new boogieman. Obviously a war with Iran is coming in short order, in my view, and the U.S. will make up any false pretense to start one; the likely of which is probably a “cyber attack” of sorts. [7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

It never ends
Psa 2:1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
Psa 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
Psa 2:3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
Psa 2:4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
And yet most Americans are still A-Okay with the murder of innocents and toppling of governments, as long as it does not affect their livelihood in any facet, as they continue to vote for it but bites the hand that feeds.
well its really very simple of an answer:
1) Ecclesiastes 8:11
“Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.”
2) 2 Corinthians 11:3
“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.”
