General Electric (GE) Appliances has released a new smart stove that connects to WiFi, an exclusive that currently can only be purchased at Kroger’s in the U.S. GE says this “update brings culinary creativity and convenience to the kitchen, offering a new way to discover recipes, shop for ingredients, and cook.”

According to a press release published on December 13th,

With this over-the-air update, over 150,000 consumers with select GE Profile™, CAFÉ™, and Monogram™ wall ovens and slide-in ranges can now enjoy seasonal culinary inspiration directly from their appliance’s LCD screen.

The touchscreen on the appliance will showcase a rotating selection of recipes from Kroger and other strategic consumer packaged goods partners including King Arthur Baking, tempting users with seasonal mouthwatering options. The recipes even direct consumers to precision cooking modes that can help improve the cooking results of the recipe.

If a recipe captures their attention, users can click to view the list of ingredients and instructions. One more touch will add all the necessary ingredients to their Kroger Family of Companies cart. A simple QR code scan will guide owners to link their Kroger account the first time they use the feature.

Additionally, GE notes that this builds on their new innovative platform called Flavorly™ AI, powered by Google Cloud’s generative AI platform, Vertex AI.

This feature is “available via GE Appliances’ SmartHQ consumer app and offers consumers the ability to generate custom recipes based on the ingredients available in their kitchen. Consumers can simply select a recipe category and type of cuisine, then input available ingredients, and include any dietary preferences,” GE writes.

I mean, how much more ridiculous are we going to get? Why in the world does my stove need to be connected to a smart watch? And how lazy do you got to get to the point you rely on AI to tell how to cook?

I cannot wait to read the headlines that some poor sap got his private data stolen because some elementary hacker nabbed it from his smart stove!

I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding;

Proverbs 24:30

This is all this smart home trash big-tech and the elite class want: everything tied down to the grid, hooked up to WiFi and AI, so everything can be seen and monitored at once, and connected at once, and therefore can be controlled all at once.

SEE:

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • Ah, I can fully handle cooking and what to cook with what’s in the frig, it’s called my brain. Sure, go online to find a recipe now and again. Today’s world wants, covets the way of the Jetson’s

  • Those people are silly and lazy don’t they understand, you turn the nob, and it has high, medium, and low and you can put the heat on medium high or medium low if need be or on medium, low, or high and if you need a recipe guess what, cookbook or look on web, can someone please help me to understand the difficulty here?……(not a serious question)

  • Now we know why they said we shouldn’t have gas stoves anymore and just have electric stoves. So my daughter has been getting hacked for over 4 years on her phone and nobody knows how to help her to fin out who it is, unless she hires a cyber detective at a very high price and she doesn’t have the money to do that, SO, she can’t have wifi at all. She has an antenna that goes on her wall just to watch a few programs on TV and has a flip phone (which they hack immediately). It’s about her 6th phone, so anyway, she will NOT be able to use this kind of device and I’m sure there must be others out there in the world who don’t have wifi, just because they can’t afford it.
