This is in a bid to reportedly help reduce emissions.

The municipal governments of the two Dutch cities Bloemendaal and Utrecht have voted to ban the advertising of meat and dairy products in public spaces. The WinePress reported the city of Haarlem voted to do the same last year, which takes effect next year, making it three cities in total banning meat ads.

Citing a number of Dutch outlets, Vegconomist reports that ‘the Municipality of Bloemendaal, a majority formed by the coalition parties D66, VVD, and PvdA recently agreed to prohibit meat and dairy advertisements on billboards, posters, and other advertising spots managed by the municipality.’ The ban includes ‘fossil fuels-dependent products such as combustion engine cars and airline tickets.’

The City Council of Utrecht’s ban is similar, which also includes alcoholic beverages and gambling advertisements.

The municipality said in a statement that it is committed to taking the necessary actions to reduce CO2 emissions and that growing and transporting livestock feed results in deforestation and the release of greenhouse gases, thereby contributing to global warming.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

The Netherlands has of course been enacting devilish laws to sequesters large swaths of farmer’s lands, and euthanizing their livestock, with a proclaimed bid to reduce emissions. Read some of these important stories here:

[1] Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; [2] Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; [3] Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. [4] For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: [5] For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

1 Timothy 4:1-5

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • Wow, who knew that those lousy billboards and signs were the cause of C0-2 emissions. Yoo raa the farmers are saved, we can eat meat now.
